PAYDAY Crimecast - A Fan-Made PAYDAY Podcast

The PAYDAY Crimecast is a podcast created by a handful of Reddit members from the r/paydaytheheist subreddit. Like most of you here in this forum, we're huge fans of the series and can't get PAYDAY out of our minds, so we analyze, speculate on, and simply just ramble about every aspect of the PAYDAY game series in our weekly/bi-weekly podcast.

We've been producing the show for a number of weeks now and have only been posting it on the r/paydaytheheist subreddit so far. For some reason, we didn't think to post the show here on the Steam Community forums until now!

So, if you love the PAYDAY series as much as we do and are looking for something to listen to while you're heisting (or taking a break in/outside your safehouse), tune in to one of our episodes and let us know what you think! Podcast discussion and feedback are welcome!

Does this...uhh...count as Advertising? Cause that is against the form rules to advertise.

Yeah, pretty sure this falls under advertising. You might want to move all this to your profile rather than a forum post.

Hmm, I'm not sure if this would count as advertising or not, as our podcast isn't monetized, but I'll make sure to contact a moderator to see if this is okay.

It being monetized or not isn't a factor in advertising.

OP, i'm afriad your advertising your podcast so that of course counts as advertising thus breaking the forum rules

It would take months before Almir replies too that and which time he wouldn't bother when looking at the timestamp the email got sent and i asked Ashley to come and take a look at this thread (she's a mod)

Advertising is about raising awareness of your product (your podcast) even if it is non-profit, it is still an advertisement, thus against forum policy. Can't really say much else on this issue.

Ehhh this seems okay for now. I'll speak with the other moderators. Most advertising isn't allowed because it's usually just some video some random person uploaded to youtube. So yeh this seems like a pretty decent fan based thing.

Thanks for the info and help on getting a moderator in on this. To be honest, I hadn't even thought that this would fall under advertising as we're not making a profit on this, as I previously mentioned, although I see your point in "advertising" simply drawing attention to a product, commercial or not. Regardless, I suppose this also is an issue of the forum sections - there's no spot for fan-made media - videos, pictures, or podcasts!

Thanks for your understanding! I hope it goes well with the other moderators. We're just a few PAYDAY fans who thought the community might enjoy a little show featuring extended discussions on some topical PAYDAY 2 subjects and its road ahead.
