Is "It Takes a Pig to Kill a Pig" bugged?
Hi,
i've tried to achieve this today in solo. On my first try i got a handcuffed cop under the pig and on the second i had civs there which were freed. Both times i killed the cops (Bain said sth like bullseye we got helped by a pig) and i didn't get the achievement. Am i doing sth wrong or is this bugged?

Bains line is no indication. Your best plan is to have a civic down there for someone to rescue and a teammate giving the signal if a cop does just.
Cuffed cops don't seem to count and the area where you actually kill stuff is surprisingly small.

I dropped mine on a shield which conveniently happened to be there. My recommendation - get your 3 teammates to stand in the downstairs hole, then drop when there's enemies up there.

Bindal and LuckyCharm are right. Dominated cops don't count. Someone (three guys if possible) in the hole communicating with someone on the crate is the way to go.

I guess you can't use the pig if your plan is to use thermite?

Enigma seems to try it solo, and I am somehow thinking about getting a loot bag or two and placing them there before going up the crane. He would be able to see when the bag is being moved and drop the pig immediately. If you can operate the pig without it containing the Beast, this would be my solution. Buy Thermite, buy the additional zipline to the roof, prepare the crane (place the pig above the skylight), drop your bag, zipline to the crane as fast as you can and hope for the best.

But I actually doubt the crane is oparable or even has the roof ziplines spawning when you have bought thermite, right? :-/

And stealth is no option either I guess, since if you have some bags and then raise alarm you won't need to use the pig either. Damn!

If you purchase Thermite, the only thing you need to do on the roof when going loud is cut the Timelock, that's all. No zipline spawns.

Thanks for your answeres. So teaming up with a friend seems to be the solution here.

Hold on a sec, how do you get lootbags if you still haven't yet dropped the pig? The only lootbags in the map are the drill parts in the pig itself, and the loot in the vault which is unaccessable until you've opened the vault with said drill.

well there is a way to get this solo and its kind of morbid tbh ^^ (also only works on normal i believe)

your going to need sentries ( preferably maxed ) and the delayed alarm :

1. place one sentry on the lions head and one in the entrance
1a. alternate spots are the top of the counters on both sides that form the central "alley"
2. get 3-5 hostages on the ground just infront of the stairs leading down (the one with the inaccesable door)
3. get to the crane and bring the pig in position
4. wait for bane to tell you they are freeing hostages and immediatly drop the pig

That problem is what I was thinking about loudly.

Dominated don't count, converts do ^^(or at least mine was)

Also, tie civ's in that spot. (yes, colleteral damage) Piggybait

Don't do it solo, just get anyone XD

If it is just you and one other person, make sure whoever goes up to the crane calls the bots before he heads up. If you are at the crane already the bots will not come to you when called but if you call beforehand they will go up to the roof with you. I've had an attempt or two where right as the pig landed on a SWATs head the bots killed him. :csdmad:

Have a friend (ideally Enforcer) tank the cops on the ground floor and kite them into the drop zone.

That's how I did it; lured a tan to the spot and tanked his bullets while the pig was falling.

Here's how I did it solo (normal):

- Tie up several civs just in about two feet away from the "pit" stairs. I would recommend at least three civs, bare minimum. Make sure they're pretty much on top of each other.
- Drop some turrets to keep the cops occupied.
- Run up to the roof, set up the ziplines, get the crane into position.
- Wait for a "hostage rescue attempt to be underway". This may require sitting around for a few waves while your bots (if you brought any) ♥♥♥♥ around. Once the count of hostages starts dropping, and it will fast, drop the pig.

Tah dah!

Did you really need to necro a topic from 2014 for this?
