Not today achievement =uggggggggggh

Not only is the GL40 fire speed slower than the time window of cloaker's jump kick and the GL40 only does half their health in damage, meaning you have to soften them up first before going for a kill, but all the cloakers now seem to be complete wusses who won't try and kick you for love nor money and just run away now, which would have been good if there wasn't achievement for killing them that locks off weapon mods until you do it.
Did anyone at overkill actually do QA on this before release? I don't mind dumb achievements like this for bragging rights, but locking content behind stuff like this is ♥♥♥♥ing untenable.

It's more luck based than anything, like the shotty one, but with the shotty you had to got it sooner or later, with the gl 40 is 100000% luck based.
but doing an hard game on a little map with bots to revive you, you can mess around.

Honestly this achievement was super easy to get for me. I just went on night club very hard with two bots, brought a signature .40 pistol and sat around on the street. When I found a cloaker, shoot a few times with pistol, swap to grenade launcher, move closer and when he jumps, shoot. Done.

they wont jump you if you're playing alone though.

Yeah it's definitely doable. but luck factor is prominent (will it jump? when? well it seems he doenst wan...oh ♥♥♥♥). I found the one when you have to shoot from 40m away way harder. and longer. and boring -_-.

the reason why they dont jump for you is that they only do jump kicks when theres 2 or more people on the map so soloing it offline they wont do it

i got it from spotting a cloaker clipping in a door shooting him once with the grande launcher and then shooting the floor next to me as soon as a walk past hearing his noise

I got that one on Shadowraid normal. Just run up the stairs to the roof, and shoot down in the yard at the far off guards. You'll get 1-4 kills per run, depending on aim/luck and it's fairly quick to do. Boring though, definitely.

Btw, you dont have to shoot him at moment that he jump. I did it when he already kicked my bot down and shoot him and then got the achievement. At least at same time when he lands

+1 to this advice, Just managed it now- ♥♥♥♥ me if this wasn't a pain in the ass trying this on four stores though. You have to resist the urge to aim at the cloaker and just shoot the ground as soon as you hear the sound effect.

You didn't get it the first two times because you have to hit him during or slightly after they jump above something to try to kick you.

Them jumping at you after running is not a "jump" but just them rushing at you.

Soften them up with 1 loco shot then shoot the floor the moment they jump in front of you. Easier to shoot the floor as it's too easy to miss shooting in the air.

I finally got it after 25 minutes of watchdogs, Jesus Christ what a boring achievement.
