I need help, should I run my game with support for newer CPUs?

This might be a dumb question, but I don’t really know much about computer parts. Mine is an Intel Core i5-10400F and I’m not sure if it’s considered a new CPU or not. How can I get good performance in the game? I recently started playing again, and we never had this option before, so I have NO IDEA which one to choose.

3/ Play PAYDAY 2 with Modern CPU Support (2021+)

You are running on Intel i5-10400F, right? this CPU was released around 2020
So, you might choose the option (2)

A "Modern CPU" option is there for CPU's with heterogeneous cores (e.g. P-cores and E-cores), like Intel 12xxx+.
Your CPU won't need it - as all your cores are technically P-cores.

I'd recommend selecting the "Modern CPU" option - it won't hurt (you won't lose fps nor get any side effects). Call it a future-proof option. =)
That'll be extra handy when you upgrade your CPU later on, and could forget to set the option (which will lead to random heavy freezes mid-game due to E-cores).
