Is Payday 3 worth it?

I gotta ask at this point. Is Payday 2 still better than Payday 3?
I have seen Youtube videos on Payday 3 and it looks fun, but hell no am I dropping 30 dollars for a base game that won't even feel complete because of the DLCs cutting off some of the maps and weapons. Also I feel like Payday 3 just looks more fun because it actually runs properly without lagging considering Payday 2 was made on the Diesel Engine.

Is it worth buying Payday 3 now, with a massive sale, or not at all? How about the DLCs?

Considering that Den of Wolves is coming out and it looks extremely promising, do you guys think Payday 3 will even continue development until the end of Payday 3's story or will the studio just kinda work on other games instead?

I have been looking at purchasing Payday 3 and it just feels like the studio was scrambling for something after Payday 2's final story ended.
And no, I do not have an Xbox Gamepass to have a trial run of the game. I am also a solo player considering all my friends are free to play peoples.

Just wanted to ask and thanks to anyone who responds.

P.S. Do you also think that Roblox Payday is better? lmao

Or u can try getting it via xbox game pass, and see for yourself if u like it or not and if u want to buy it here or not. I`ve tried it and I`m going to wait another year.

Yeh, I heard it is very mediocre from reviews on Youtube, it doesn't shine like PD2.

Honestly, I'm starting to enjoy pd3 more than pd2. Main reason being pd2 cop spam puts me off sometimes. Bring back the old spawn rates, make pd2 great again.

I recommend you buy Payday 2 because Payday 3 wasn't in a good state since its release in 2023. although Payday 2 is old and created in the Diesel engines including some issue they have but still worth buying in PC not console unless if you buy the Legacy Collection that has the entire DLC's.

Nope, PAYDAY 3 sucks and it's not going to get better anytime soon. Not only is it buggy as hell, it has fundamental design issues within its overall gameplay and progression. Also, Operation Medicbag (a sequence of updates aimed at fixing the game) is officialy over and a large portion of devs were allocated to other projects.
