Your experience sounds frankly horrid and I apologize on behalf of those that at least try to communicate with their team about what's going on.
Not your fault, but you may want to try playing with some newer players and learn as a group, or some seasoned pros who you can play with on the regular who will teach you.
Try hosting your own games to avoid getting kicked. If you can't, then maybe games without kick or something would be more what you'd like.
As for obscure strategies...not sure if you're referring to stealth attempts or what...but generally it's safest if one person attempts stealth.
I literally just tell those people with mics or anyone who thinks they're magically in charge to shut up or they're getting kicked. Most shut the hell right up lol. But I haven't hosted public in some time now. Just a general rule. People tend to calm down when confronted rather than continue their behaviors.
this could be said about most RTS communities =P
This obscure strategy was probably one-man-stealth with the rest of the team waiting in full body armors in case of an alarm. It's easy distinguishable if you look at loadouts. Also, if you have <60-70 lvl try to stick to Very Hard difficulties (with Pro Jobs if you wish) - you can be kicked form OVK and especially DW for being low lvl. Your build is probably lacking useful high-tier skills yet.
