what is the best computer setup to play payday 2
Hi,
If this has been answered before I could not find it any where on here so thought would ask the question, What is the best computer setup to play payday 2 with?
By that I mean graphics card, motherboard, processor, memory, hard drive, sound card and power (maybe a case if need to replace what I have)
I know there will be the amd over intel thing going on plus same goes with the memory, and both cards. I have no interest in which you think is better of the two or three or what ever just want to know the best setup so can stop running on low textures, that way can read the white board and map when playing solo.
Thanks in advance to all who reply and will give all comments a view plus see what I can do with all your suggestions.

You don't need much power. I run triple digit FPS with a 560Ti, 4Gb of 1333MHz RAM and a i5-650 (Dual-Cored, First-Gen) at maximum settings.

And the parts I mentioned are really outdated.

This is my current setup:
Processor: AMD FX(tm) - 4100 Quad-Core 3.60GHz
Memory: 4Gb
Operating system: Windows 7 (64 bit)
Graphics Card: Nvidia Geforce GT 630 ( 2Gb of DDR 3 Ram )
MotherBoard: ASUSTeK Computer INC Model: M5A78L-M LX
Resolution: 1920x1080 60Hz
Case: Hornet CR-0300 NG ( MS-Tech )
I thought that this will help give you an idea of what I have and am running on now, that way you can give advice on what would be the best up-grades or if a whole new setup is needed.

You got that backwards, buddy.

To answer your question, the absolute best is not the greatest question. Technically, the absolute best computer would be one that costs thousands of dollars. We need to know your budget so we can let you know what you can and should replace

From just the information at hand, your CPU should be fine, but you definitely need more RAM. Your graphics card isn't great and I'd say that's probably your issue.

Also, open up your case and make absolute sure there's no dust, and check the cable management. If the cables are in the way then your problem could be heat buildup

my budget is around £200 maybe more or less depending on where I can get the itmes from, the graphics card is already an upgrade from what was in there and had been waiting on some funds plus feed back as to what graphics card would be best plus am looking to have a setup that will last longer than just a year.
as for the memory I was aso going to get two set's of 8 Gb but again been waiting on some funds.

I can currently run Payday 2 on my portable potato at 60 fps, however it constantly burns out potatos so I suggest you genetically alter some of your own to avoid having to go to the store too often.

Upgrade your ram to at least 8gb and if you can get a ssd more than enough.

Don't get more than 8GB of ram unless you're doing some kind of professional work like video editing. More than 8 is pointless for gaming, and most other things as well. What did you upgrade the 630 with? If you can return it you should do so right away. The GTX 750 costs the same at $100 and is much better. You could also spend about 20 more and get the GTX 750 ti.

Edit: Just noticed you meant 200 pounds, not dollars. If that includes the money for the 8gb of ram you should have around 160 pounds left or so, and you can buy a GTX 960 with that. A better option would be to save more and buy a GTX 970, which is one of the most, if not THE most cost efficient graphics cards on the market. It's a very good graphics card that'll serve you a long time so I'd recommend saving up for it

Baked Potato after a round of Payday 2 doesn't sound bad at all

you could pick up 8GB of kingston hyper X 1800mhz(2x 4GB dual channel) for about £60. i have the same processor as you so i can vouch for it been fine.

but remember windows uses about 2gb ram, so you only actually have 2gb for payday 2
I don't think you need a real lot to run PayDay 2, I can run it on my laptop just fine, I'd say if you wanted to run it at a decent pace with decent graphics and not spend a whole lot of money, I'd just go with a Intel i5 (4th gen), at least 4 gigs of ram and I don't think you need a big graphics card to run PayDay 2 at a good pace. hope this helps.

He already has a good enough CPU. He also already has 4 gigs, which is not an amount he should consider enough. He should be fine with just a GTX 750, but with his budget he might as well get a GTX 960 so he has absolutely no issues, and he'll be able to play other games better too.

This is my current setup:
i7
GTX980 SLI
16GB

And game is still stuttering and has fps drops.
poor optimization is poor.

had a look for memory and graphics card based off of your suggestions, here are the links to both my memory and graphics card upgrades.
Memory: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Kingston-KVR18R13D8-1866MHz-Memory-Module/dp/B00KD5M9DI/ref=sr_1_7?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1437806641&sr=1-7

Graphics Card: http://www.amazon.co.uk/EVGA-Nvidia-GeForce-Superclocked-Graphics/dp/B00SNVOUKE/ref=sr_1_103?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1437807838&sr=1-103

Also I did not upgrade from a GT 630 I upgrade to it, the computer came with a lower spec graphics card and with the money I had I thought the 630 would be fine, how wrong I was.

Multi-gpu optimization is poor for everything. SLI explains the fps drops and micro stutters. Turn SLI off and it should be perfect.

Yeah, the 630 was a poor choice, but you'll have a better one soon. Is Amazon Prime available in the UK? If so, do you have it? If it's not available/you don't have it I'd recommend buying it off Newegg instead.

http://www.newegg.com/global/uk/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814487091

I find newegg more reliable when it comes to computer components. Check both for shipping and handling costs though. I'd suggest this one over the one you chose on Amazon. It's cheaper, but Newegg shipping cost versus Amazon's might make them about even
