Friend can't join my game, nor can I join his.

I can join other servers perfectly well. same with him. But we can't connect to eachother, the game just replies "Failed to Join Game." Me nor Him have any mods installed. Does anyone know how to fix this glitch?

Yes we both have. I believe he's Verifying my game cache right now. But its not on my end, I invited a different friend of mine and he had no problem.

Hmm your friend might be missing some files which the cache verification should sort oout or it might be a mod problem does he use anything like Hoxhud?

He was smart enough to delete hoxhud when the game updated.

hmm the only other thing I can think of is just randomness I have had this happen to myself and a few other friends before we tried restarting steam and verifying the cache etc but nothing worked so we just left it for a day or 2 and then it magically fixed itself so might just be one of those things where all you can do is chalk it up to randomness and wait for it to fix itself.

We fixed it, turns out steam dunn goofed and decided to SAY it updated his game, but actually didn't. so thats that, I'll delete this thread in 5 minutes.

This same issue was there a year ago. I don't know how to fix it but it sucks. I think its an issue with Steam but I can't be sure.

I've had it when disconnecting from someone's game and the only fix I've found was a restart of the game from host and client. Trying to join in the middle of the game leads to crashes or failure to join every time when this error starts.

Im having a issue after the new imfamy update, its odd. we both have mods, but they are the exact same mods (apart from the my friend using wolfhud) Anyone know a concrete fix nowadays?
