Both limbs for the crossbow are identical.
One grip increases concealment, other grip decreases concealment. That's all they do.
Why even bother creating the models, if there are no mechanics behind them?
2 of the 3 sniper rifle grips are identical. Again, why even bother?
Creating meaningful weapon mods that give players a real choice was never Overkill's trademark (slavic dragon barrel vs modern barrel anyone?) but here, they don't even PRETEND that they try?
Im really interested in how you gonna mod Vector another way.
Just look at this gun, man.
what are the stats exactly? on all of the new weapons?

I mean, different silencers, foldable stocks, different grips, different body colors (Tan, olive green, white). Shorter magizine size...
I can continue but I think ive proven my point.
Well I just had a unique idea:
Let the Skeletal and Carbon Limb reduce/increase the damage, but reduce/increase the reloading time accordingly.
It only makes sense, no? A limb with higher tension requires more strength to pull and vice versa.
Too bad Overkill probably won't care.
the question here is: is overkill capable of modding the reload time within the weapon modifications? They weren't even able to give us a numerica value for that in the HUD...
Man the third one is... gimme these modifications without effects, I'll use them right away :D
Seems to be the way things are now, They give us great base weapons with very shallow mods for them with very little thought put into what the mods give us.
Both the sniper and crossbow have 2 mods each that give the exact same bonus, The rifle didnt need the stability buff in the first place but hey ...heres two of em for you, And a conceal grip too for a rifle that will not be of much use in stealth or dodge.
A few mods could have been thrown in for the vector such as the standard mag could have been a pistol mag for more conceal (vectors use standard glock mags) and the 30rd mag could have been a mod for example. There are 2 stocks that i know of with the vector but we just get the standard stocks with the one that is custom for the vector being inferier to the others.
One thing that would have been great is a 3rd burst fire mode for this gun which this weapon is designed for but if you just tap fire on auto it has the same effect anyaway but that mod could have crossed over to all weapons that have this fire mode and would be handy fot tazer /ammo control etc.
I can't understand why within this limited number of shallow mods we have DUPLICATES.
This is beyond lazy.
That's no excuse for me, if you create mod1 and mod2 where mod2 does everything better (see M308 stocks or AK short barrels which I mentioned before), no wonder nobody is gonna use mod1.
I have many duplicated weapons, because with different, good designed gun mods you can create different builds of the same gun which are good for different things.
You can't do that with few mods that are duplicated. It's a waste of time for everyone.
Agreed
conceal weapons = stealth/dodge
silent weapons = stealth/silentkiller and the pro
and well the rest for max mod efficiency 75 det etc (non dodge)
For me at least this is what i look for in weapons, overkill/lgl do great work on weapon skins and up until recently put a lot of work into the mods for these weapons, This is what i like most about payday weapons, lots of guns and lots of mods for them to tailer said weapon to your builds.
Without the mods the guns are just static pieces designed for one job and has reduced them to the state of weapons in most other FPS games.
I hope this treand does not continue and move love gets put into the mods. I would rather worse base stats and more mods to make them great than a great weapon that cant be modded.
or a horrible base gun that you have to put on a load of random mods till it perfroms great but looks awful (the optimal car 4 set up for example)?
I personally always go for stats/performance over looks. I mean you are not suppose to look at the gun you are suppose to look infromt of you at the enemies.
I also really enjoye moding weapons.
