On some heists, namely big bank and Frame day 3. Others, like the regular bank heist, the guards ignore the open security door.
Oh yeah true, got mixed up with the open vault book case. I'm sure in the past they used to though
(Unless you're talking about the vault being open? I've never given them a chance to see one)
Nope, they can get alerted if they see the vault throuhg the open book case, whether the vault is open or not. I just tested it.
Edit: the guard walked through the open book case, saw the vault and then sounded the alarm. If thats what you meant. But the vault was closed, so apparently they will be alerted whether its open or closed
I guess the safest way to stealth big bank is to kill all front guards then.
When it happened to me it was suspicious activity.
I think it was suspicious activity for me too. I know for sure it was closed vault/open bookcase because the guard was standing down there using his earpiece, and there was nothing else down there that could have alerted him. So yeah as long as the book case is open they can get alerted regardless of whether the vault is closed or open
