I have to say that the spycams can be very useful on low civi and obstacle maps like the FF ones. However on maps like The Bomb:Dockyard makes them useless.
Learn the best places to put them, and you will have full control over the areas
They are useless in maps where the civilians are at the majority or at the same amount as the guards are. My opinion remains unchanged.
The skill only works if you are not moving , which renders it useless in low cover maps.
And a lot of sharp corners and low and high-ground building with a lot of entrances and back alleys.
Its killing me ;-;
Also, if a civ sees you, you can always just shoot them. It's pretty easy
Then walk all the way to a dumpster?
