I just solo stealthed the Golden Grin Casino.
It was fun, but it has a few problems. Moving through the casino is an extreme pain in the asscrack. Once you put the sleeping gas in the camera room, it becomes bag moving simulator 2015 for the other half of the heist. There is no point in not getting all loot in stealth because there is 0 risk since you can take out the 2 guards in the bag moving area. It just takes time. In Big Bank, you were putting yourself at a risk by going for more loot. Not for this heist. Most of the big bank is bag moving, but you are avoiding guards and finding strategic pathways at the same time. In the Golden Grin Casino, you are moving bags and moving bags only. It is kind of a relief that once you put the gas in the vents and get back to the camera room area you are safe for the remainding half of the heist or so, but it really isn't very entertaining. It was an enjoyable heist though. It's a shame it's the last Dentist contract, he had some great heists. I wonder what big heist I will look forward to now.

So long as money continues to be useless in this game with billions of dollars on/offshore, then there remains no reason to secure all the bags and loot anyway..
Ongoing problem with this game, and the tieing it to xp in 'some' heists in the recent xp patch wasn't even implemented across the board or on such a scale to fix the problem completely without any proper money sinks.

These days in loud Golden Grin I pretty much ask if they intend to get all the loot out if the van escape hasn't been selected; because this right here is indeed the definition of bag throwing simulator and I have better things to do with my time than waste 15 minutes getting a few more million dollars onto my already bloated pool of cash at the tail end of this heist after all the fun stuff has been completed.

Let the crowd fund a artwork of a new character, then wait a couple of months and release it for $5 including the achievement "get 100mrd of offshore cash" and let the grind begin.

I still like to get all loot. The bigger the numbers, the better. Besides, I like the challenge of extra loot (not a challenge on GGC but on most heists.)

Why would you ever buy the Van Escape? Not only does it cost a buttload of favors, you can go for a much cheaper and faster alternative, the blimp escape, and just throw the money bags right back out the hole you drilled, and then onto the top platform. You can even do the same with the Dentist's Loot as long as you have someone up top, ready to catch it.

I had the misfortune to do it twice. Never again.

Let's also never forget that this was a thing. I don't get why they removed it. Its quite true:

Honestly, I couldn't agree with you more on the Big Bank quote there. It seems more fun doing that...then this. Especially since they teased us in Meltdown with easier, faster means of moving bags.

While i can see why some people want it changed to make it more risky, as someone who has experienced instantly being spotted from across the room by some civ like a million times just trying to stealth it once on DW when i just have to get back to the back room to get to the cash, i honestly find the back area as-is to hold a more important reason to being controlled like it is, simply put every time i get back there successfully i take a moment to breath a sigh of relief that i was able to successfully get back before an ! suddenly appeared over someone's head for no reason--not even a damn detection alert...they just get an ! over their head...--

While i hear people keep saying it needs more risk...i don't see why, hell, ontop of that, if they did that, the guards/civs that come to check would be alerted by the open door and would turn the mission into a timed mission no matter what, honestly thats the worst aspect i've seen of go bank--i keep hearing people say there is an rng for it where you can take your time...but out of thirty runs i've never seen that rng happen--.

tl;dr, i don't see why everything has to be a case of "well i have no pagers left, lets hope nobody notces the open doorway that would easily get me caught and shove me into loud" the payout on golden grin isn't even very high, it it became too risky to even bother with most the cash they'd need to shove more "collect all bags" achievements just to incentivise most players to even bother, and that would still just be done loud rather than stealth.

I'm not sure if you know this, but you paid for a bag toss simulator right? If you are complaining about bag tossing... I'm not sure if you have gotten the right game.

The loot running is safe because that's how it should be. You plan ahead, pull off the heist perfectly, get the guards gassed, your reward is being able to run the loot. There is no need to make any changes to the heist just to arbitrarily increase difficulty by throwing in more guards.

It's attitudes like this that are the very reason for some of the most arbitrary difficulty changes in the game. For example - Shadow Raid. There was nothing wrong with this heist (outside of annoying bugs with the Detection AI seeing you from halfway across the map through several solid building walls randomly.) Suddenly people figure out how to ECM Rush it for quick EXP and the answer isn't "Do something to stop them from abusing ECMs on this mission." Nope, it's "Make the mission worthless for EXP."
wait a minute, is Bloom arguing with him/herself?
ok then,

existential crisis aside, the grins layout in the back area doesn't lead it to being a good idea to put extra guards in place since they'll at best just stand in the area between the metal doors. you could make a case for having guards and porters come up and down the elevators then walk out into the casino and leave the map. that would add a dynamic level of difficulty provided you could tell when they were coming.
Doktor Vic Tim 29. juni 2015 kl. 8.32
One problem I've been experiencing with it is that the Detection Meter is REALLY jumpy. It's not smooth as it is on other heists. Camera detection rate is still smooth, but people detection rate jumps really fast/registers slower than you can react.

And no, no mods were enabled during this.

And the heist pretty much boils down to "Is the correct bottle in the VIP room?". If no, you pretty much have to restart.

Yes, making it easy too quick would cause them to fix the difficulty and add twice the guards all glaring at objectives. It's not like there's an achievement for doing it quickly. Oh, wait...

Just do the usual and have the mission give 10 EXP and we're golden. BELENCE!

Not saying OVK should purely make the heist hearder in the "safe room", but they should also make it easier in some respects. For example, when moving through the casino, have less people on the slot machines so it is easier to get through.. There wouldn't be so many people on the slots if there were more roulette tables, which for some reason there isn't. It seems like no one is playing blackjack or poker. And there are no hot vegas women except for Annie.

how about they just leave the cams on after you used the gas instead of add more rng on top of two legs? Cam loop for moving bags, if you so desire, and the back area is still "a safe harbour" to some degree.
