Melee weapon choices for stealth and damage

What do you guys like for melee weapons, and in what situations? I like the zero-charge-time of the default rifle butt attack, but it's kind of wimpy.

In stealth I use:
- telescopic baton most of the time, cause not alerted guards die from anything and baton has great range, knockback and concealment,
- nova's shank - on Big Oil day 2, where I don't take silent weapons, but still stealth the first part, killing dominated guards is painful with baton,

For loud I use:
- lucille - great knockback and use it mostly to dominate cops easier,
- nova's shank - when detection risk is still important even if I plan to fight,
- weapon's butt - when I play as a tank with iron man aced for bashing shields,

Stealth:
Nova's Shank or X-46 Knife(most often the former)
Sometimes Motherforker if I don't mind bumping my detection rating up a couple points.

Loud:
Whatever sounds fun. Toothbrush and Motherforker have HIGH attack speed, but Alpha Mauler has cool sound effects. Lucille is a knockdown machine.

The upside to weapon butt is that you don't have to deal with that minor delay between using your melee attack and firing your gun again. The only time I notice it is when I'm busting glass in JS, though.

Anything with high DPS is pretty much unrivaled by everything else. Melee has terrible damage, and most of the high-knockdown melee weapons take an excruciating amount of time to swing, and to put away, making the knockdown effect pointless, since you spend valuable time putting away your melee weapon, and then shooting whatever you knocked over.

Weapons like the trench Knife, psycho knife, nova shank, and motherforker are often ideal because they have extremely fast swing speeds, and their DPS is often unmatched by other melee weapons. They won't kill in one hit like the fire axe, but you'll save a lot more time in the long run with how quickly each stab is, and the damage stacks up very quickly against weaker enemies.

i pretty much only use the buzzer and electric brass knokles.

cuz revange on all those f***ing tazzers.

also they have good conealmentt, but sh^t damage. pretty good at dominating cops thou...

but mostly cuf F*** TAZZERS!!!.

For stealth I use butterfly knife most of the time.
For loud below OD I use katana and on OD I use Electric Brass Knuckles.
