Since The Diamond i always wanted to know, what exactly that guy did for Payday in general, why is he got his name on the golden plate in the museim. I know, for example, Tessio, Jones and Ashley, cause they are helping keep this forum at peace. And i knew that GMB is a youtuber, i saw his channel once. I thought, okay, maybe he did a good job showing people some important stuff about payday-gameplay or something. I looked at his videos and there isn't something special about them. And then he got another praise in the last trailer (and looks like only him).
Why?
I would just like a good counter argument about WHY Gen sucks at the game. The best one in this thread is that he's "too opinionated" (which is a pretty lame argument) and that he doesn't explain things well. But then again, he's not exactly a tutorial guy either. I enjoy those wildlife documentary styled videos on the cops behavior just as much as the next guy, but I don't expect Gen to make those and I don't see him as lesser for not making those. His videos are better for me because it shows how things will affect me as a player, rather than as a computer.

Gen is a proven prick in the past. He views the world with a dog-eat-dog standpoint, and literally states himself as the best due to his subscriber count. Not to mention he isn't that good. You could look at world record setters, solo (no "kiting" bs) Deathwish videos, Professional guides on the steam community.
But instead, you see this individual right here (Gen), having fame he shouldn't have in the first place.
But if you don't believe me, go ahead and see if there are any living comments with Gen as a reply to them. He even attempted to reply against me - and he failed with it. He doesn't even understand the secret mechanics of the game, that a person (with that many subscribers) should be knowing off the top of his head (since he specializes in making Payday 2 videos and streams only).
I'd understand if it wasn't his job... but he's making a living with videos of Payday 2 (with ♥♥♥♥♥♥ knowledge of the game itself, and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ skill too). But I guess you could see other streamers on Twitch who get over $2,000 over an hour or 2 without having skill in the game they play. It's all for the commentary - but when does Gen do actual commentary eh? :3"

+masterkevkev those don't seem like "facts" they seem like jealousy over his success. his content is supposed to entertain not educate, which he clearly does! where did you get these "facts" your stating? source please? Point is youtube is a transaction, supply and demand, the viewer has no say in anything the "supplier" has to offer same as any other company. If you dislike generalmcbadass its as simple as ignoring him and moving on! why comment anyway best to just keep comments like that to yourself since your not accomplishing anything or helping anyone by making comments like that! TL;DR Leave generalmcbadass alone he makes quality content for some but obviously not for you so just ignore him and move on.

A. I've stated you can look at any of his old videos and read the comments he puts to point out he's a: Prick
B. I've stated you can see past broadcasts on Twitch (implied) and see individuals who've talked with him before (The biggest one being "Given"), and know him to be a: Prick
C. He hasn't raided anyone on twitch, shouted out free advertisement or promotions on his videos, and only accepts those that benefits himself in the end. Proving he sees the world as a: Dog-Eat-Dog World
D. His content isn't "Quality". If you are to question me to link proof - I question you back to link a video he had commentary that was enjoyable to listen to, that wasn't about Payday 2 (or else that'd be a "Walkthrough"/"Gameplay Commentary" - Not actual "Commentary"). Go do so, or else you're just a: Fanboy/Prick :3

+masterkevkev im just gonna restate this one last time and im out.. youtube is a business. supply and demand everybody on youtube isn't who they really are, there a character, someone who exists to attract your attention, youtubers aren't here to please you there here for the fame they can get, the views they can get. I don't know what you expect from Gen do you expect him to be your best friend and include you in every single one of his videos because why? your special? every other youtuber is like that they don't care about you they just see there subscribers as views and that my dear is the hard truth. anyway yes I do enjoy his content I think its quality content its no different than any other youtubers content. TL;DR Snap out of it every youtuber is like you are stating gen to be, if any youtuber is acting differently its for the views the fame. anyway that's just my two cents. im out.

Also they aren't facts their opinions, facts are something you can provide evidence to back you up so unless you have a masters degree in psychology then your "facts" are baseless. If anything your just doing this to appease your massive ego.
Yeah Gen just does commentary PD2 vids and no he isn't the best at it but again so does PewDiePie and he is one of if not THE biggest youtuber.
So in the end acting like you know him inside and out doesn't make you any better them him it just makes you look like a fat headed prick at best and a waste of intellect at worst

If you honestly agree to Gen being a prick, then I won't budge against you. It's an honest agreement that you see the story as it is, and still agree, if you understand him completely.
(But if you do, I still don't understand how you can agree to someone if you know them to be that much of a ♥♥♥♥ when it comes to the economy... :s)
+SnowWolf00000 - Here are 2 facts that Gen hasn't taught the Payday 2 Community:
1. Guards have a 1 second tick of detection, checked every second (this applies to civilians as well). You have this split second window (that you never know when it has truly started) to run across, through, past - them. You can literally run right through the guard himself (as host, just to clarify it isn't Desync) and not get detected at all, as long as you do it through the 1 second window that he has.
Fun Fact: Gen denied this and replied against this fact of code on a comment of mine. True Payday 2 teacher of sorts, am I right? If you wish to see proof, look at some special stealth videos on Youtube, or search up "The Long Guide" for a breakdown of how it works. :3
2. Domination has 7-8 factors (if you include the stealth factor). Pants down, Low health, Alone, Suppression, Multiplicative shouting (the amount of shouts), Flanked, Difficulty of enemy, and Invincibility Window. Now although this is off the top of my head, I believe those are precisely the 8 factors you need to worry about. The obvious factor I haven't placed is the Power of Intimidation which plays a small role (unless you factor in Low health and Suppression). There's somethin' for ya to learn c:

I stated what he was in real life from people who have been friends with him for months of time and have told the story here and there of how they either pushed them away or denied their existence all together. And for "proof" (You ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nimwit) I told you to search up "Given", as he has the famous case of it all. How many of those exact friends do you think he plays with now?
Go scroll back a year or 2 of videos and see the people he called "friends" over recordings, and check to see if they still are there for him. Why do you think they leave and split away? Some of them have their own Youtube channel - and they still upload to this very day. But isn't it fun to see Gen skyrocketing in Subscribers and views, while the friends he had are stuck under 10,000 in some cases?...

It's funny how people think he's one of the best. Sure, he's good, but he's at best average. Like if you want to actually understand this, watch his Twitch streams. I've only watched them twice and sometimes he just makes himself useless to the team (I guess just fir the sake of the steam, so we can ignore this), and all in all, he's seriously just average...
He did nothing. He never suggested anything, never reported any single bug, never made any mod (as far as I know). Once I watched his video when he was talking about how2play DW like a boss, and advices he was giving were HARMFUL.

I did indeed read that entire comment chain on youtube. Right there in the latest trailer I believe? Anyways, what I seem to get out of that is that you expect GeneralMcBadass to be a "teacher" as you put it, which I agree he is far from. He doesn't explain hidden mechanics, and sometimes his advice can even be wrong. Well okay, he's human. We're human as well. We don't have to follow every little thing he says like sheep. It's okay to make your own decisions and opinions.
Like I said, I watch his videos not for the spreadsheet, but to see how things are working in game. To be able to have a tangible reference so I can make my own opinions on them. And if I decide to buy the weapon pack or whatever, I can then go even further on my own and tweak things to work out for me, because I don't have to follow Gen's setups because I'm not Gen. And not everything he does I myself find comfortable either. I don't really care about hidden stats, I don't care how many seconds delay the guard has in regards to detection, and I don't play to exploit these. Guards are to be avoided whenever possible anyways.
So if the salt is because he's a terrible teacher, then yes I agree. He is. But I have to question why you expect him to be a teacher anyways? Not everyone on youtube has to hold your hand and dictate how to play and exploit mechanics in a game you really shouldn't be paying stopwatch and/or decimal point attention to anyways (hence why they are hidden mechanics). Gen is good as reference material. Deathwish reference material as well. Are there much better players than him? Undoubtably. But he's far from bad. Smarter than the average pub, that's for sure.
No, if you can't give me any reason as to WHY you disagree you are a brainlessly hating. Maybe not a brainless hater per say in every point of your life, but you're being one in regards to this. And I'm not your buddy, guy.
Why are you going into personal attacks on skill? That's just mean and rude. Besides, I don't really find myself to be a bad player anyways. Definitely not one of the best, but I can fairly reliably Deathwish pubs with any weapon of my choosing. I don't need to use Car4 and Judge (though they are fun weapons) just to get the job done.
Indeed. But the entire point of that comment chain was a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of individuals defending him (aka. going against me) even though my view of Gen is of being a prick. He doesn't have extremely well made commentary, to go with a game clip in the background (So it isn't Commentary, but Gameplay-commentary). However, although there are multiple others out there that have released videos with commentary that's better (or gameplay that's better) - I'm pointing out how much of a ♥♥♥♥ move it is that Overkill placed him as an easter egg, when he has been a prick to hundreds of individuals in the past - a prick to people in his comment section by replying rudely to them (I happen to be one of them, but scroll through any of his old videos - any comment chain he "wins" - he keeps. Any comment chain he "loses" in, he deletes).
It's not that he's a bad reference, because I won't say that he is. He's a fairly decent player, has a level to boast, and subscribers to gloat about as well. But he is a definite prick - and I just won't accept (nor watch) someone who could be that darn rude. :l ...
And after all the word out from replies (from him) being a prick, to individuals speaking stories about him (a famous one being "Given") - How can Overkill ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ give him the glory of a easter egg in the background of a trailer of the game?... Every individual that wants to have the damn DLC will have to see the video and notice his name. They could have put something a little more secretive back there like "Hoxhud" or some secret word that helps to decode the secret of Payday 2... But they didn't. They placed a Youtuber (out of all others) on there, and one who is a renowned prick at best :c

I don't really think this is the place to be discussing Gen himself or what happens behind the scenes of his stream/channel.
I do personally watch his videos, but I don't worship the ground he walks on. From what I hear he does need to step back from the fame a little bit, but it's not for any of us to say.
