what happens when you cheat?

i randomly joined a game and started loading in bags. then i noticed that every bag was a diamond bag worth 15.000.000$. some guy on the server was an admin and was doing this. is there any penalty for the person cheating or me being in the game with the cheater? becasue i now have 4.000.000 extra cash that i shouldnt have. also is there any way to have that money be removed or am i stuck with it?

There's really no penalties other than a memory of you played a server with the host (not admin, host is the correct term) who is cheating.

You better off restart your stats if you want to play the game properly again with the true experience without getting from level 2 to level 87 and a ♥♥♥♥ ton of money non legit.

You can easily reduce your money by buying and selling new weapons. Unfortunately there is no penalty for cheating. Best way to avoid cheaters is to host your own lobby (less cheats work if your not hosting) and treat people with suspision.
Some Mods have basic anti-cheat systems but the core game doesn't.

nothing, just do it offline, it hurts peoples game if you do it online.

When you cheat, you go straight to hell with no chance to post bail or get parole. All of your games will be revoked and raffled off to the rest of Steam.

What happens when you cheat.NO VAC BAN BTW.Cheater mark dissapars after you stop using thos cheats.If PD2stats recorded your haxxed achivements,then clearing everything + starting a new & talking to Tatsuto to prove it is your second and last chance.

Level 4:
Used cheat:DLC Unlockers,Auto-spawning 9999 equipment like 9999 Sentry Guns,etc.
Result:Cheater mark & get instantly auto-kicked.
Level 3:
Used cheat:999999999ROF Thanatos with 99999999999 dmg,9999999 ammo,18 acc,25 stab,99999999mag,0 second reload speed,999999999 ammo pickup.
Result: NO Cheater mark. But host will notice your blatant cheat since everything dies asap & may/may not kick you.
Level 2:
Used cheat:Increasing low-total ammo guns to 150,ammo pickup boosted very much,Flamethrower has ammo pickup,weapons with low mag(like the Mosconi,or THany) modified to have 30 mag,etc.Modifying 9 Lives Aced Values to 100%
Result: NO Cheater mark. But some very rare & sharp hosts(especially ones using GageHud) will notice you and may/may not kick you for it.Even more sharper people will notice your 9Lives spam if you keep dying alot.
Level 1:
Used cheat: Modifying ammo pickup values so your guns have the ammo pickup of the JP36/AMCAR.Modifying only slight damage buffs to breach breakpoints.Modifying of mag number with only 15 so its just like having Mag Plus.Modifying 9 Lives Value to 50%-75%.Giving the Thany&GL40 the ammo pickup of the Nagant,giving the RPG the ammo pickup of the Thany+using it rarely.
Result:NO Cheater mark. Nigh-uncatchable even w/ RPG ammo pickup provided you use it rarely .Absolutely un-catchable if you don't give the RPG ammo pickup & the Mag Plus boost.

If someone catches you at level 1,i gurantee you that he/she would be so paranoid of heisters that he/she wouldn't even care about playing the game anymore.Giving way more attention to heisters instead of cops.(Only careful Board-Exam guarding level dedication could spot level 1 cheatz)

InB4Purists consider Huds as a level 0/level 1 cheat.

Just enjoy the utterly miniscule amount of boost you have obtained, buy a couple guns or save if for respecing down the line. If you don't like being boosted you got off insanely easy, next time just leave if the server seems suspicious.... or dont since there is no penalty to being boosted against your will.

Just had some stupid ♥♥♥♥♥ with almost every achieve unlocked at 123 hours tell me I didn't know how to play because I wasn't restarting the drill on HM Day 1.

Believe me, nothing happens outside of becoming a loser on a game that doesn't require cheating.
