What determines how long Bain takes to tell you the next ingredient on Rats?
Is it fixed or its RNG?
I swear he sometimes takes his sweet time telling you while others its almost inmmediately after the previous ingredient. Is there a trick to manipulate this or its just random how fast he is?

In my personal experience, It's RNG. Maybe a bit dependent on how fast you and your allies internet, too.

I believe it is just due to the other dialog interrupting when he can speak. If the driver updates on when they will arrive, if an assault wave starts/ends, etc. Those kinds of dialog prevent him from speaking about the ingredients. So its mostly random due to the fact that the game doesn't really let the AI characters talk over each other much.

Wrong. Nothing in the code.

Dialogs can be prevented, cooking chance cannot.

How it works:
When methlab is found/meth is picked up: Set cooking chance to 7%/5%, wait 1 second and recheck the chance.
If the chance succeeds, you can put an ingredient.
If the chance fails, add to cooking chance 15%/10%, wait 20-25/25 seconds and recheck the chance.
When you put in the correct ingredient, wait 20-25/25 seconds and recheck the chance.

All values are Cook Off/Rats Day 1 respectively.

Post edit:
The maximum value for cooking chance is 112%/105%.
For that to happen, you must be super unlucky.

And I can confirm that I got 112% on Cook Off and I didn't put first ingredient in. ~3 minutes wasted waiting for my chance to cook.

So basically it’s RNG. Well, I guess it’s nice to know.

On average I complete the Rats day 1 on ~27 minutes (7 bags ofc), I wonder how lucky I am...

It’s a shame the power doesn’t affect the chance or speed it up somehow, would have been a cool idea.

In before the Devs do a sneaky update where they actually make the power affect this, but leave it out of the change log. Just to mess with people.

And I guess for making the power useful during the heist.
