Um... What's up with Aftershock?

I'd played both Payday games on PS3 for a while before finally getting them on Steam after seeing all the extra DLC, etc. And today I clicked on Aftershock because it was new to me. It started out fun, except that it wanted me to get 4 safes. There were 2 trucks each with 2 safes. And I could only take 1 safe from each (playing in offline here). I saw the other safes in the back of the trucks, but I couldn't reach them nor could I jump into the trucks to get closer.

Has anyone else had the same problem?

Also, wth? Why is there a need to blow up a wall to steal a truck, then put the safes in it for escape when, HELLO! I just took safes from trucks. I could have just consolidated the safes into one truck and taken off. But oh well. Still can't get the second safe in each truck.

You get a bigger truck so you can save time and money instead of airlifting the 2 trucks with safes and you still need to let the gang escape and also the safe problem is your problem

Yeah, I was trying that and kept getting my butt shot off instead. Also tried jumping onto the back ledge, then crouching, which works for me getting into vans, but that didn't work.

There is room in one truck for all four safes and the gang. And I'm glad to know you have been clued in that the safe issue is only occurring on my game and no one else's. You must have checked around with every game owner prior to my posting this.

Neat trick! I'll try that the next time it comes up for me. Thanks! It may have just been some kind of a one-time glitch, too, and I may never see it again (that'd be nice!)

Anyway, I'm glad I came back to revisit both 1 and 2. I'd taken a long break shortly after part 2's release. I was pretty blown away by everything they've added, and it was worth buying again for Steam. So far, Aftershock is the only that's had me scratching my head.

I would assume that an armored car is a little too heavy to lift out with a helicopter, especially when loaded with safes. Giving them the benefit of the doubt here. But even then, there's no excuse for why we don't just load it into a nearby car and use that to lift it away.

ill guess its just designed for higher difficultys - if you play on for example Deathwish, you actually have to pull.. i dont know anymore.. 12 Safes out? i guess they wouldnt fit in one of these vans.

Considering it's little more than filler content to serve a playable advert, it's not really surprising you're confused over Aftershock. I've still not played it, simply BECAUSE it's an advert.

OKay, that makes total sense. I didn't think about more safes added with higher difficulty.

I had it happen again but was able to get them through the walls, so thanks for the tip!
