How the hell are you meant to solo this?
You just do NOT have enough time to go in,steal the diamond and come back.
You can run in, take the diamond but atleast 1 pressure plate will come back up and you can't jump over it for reasons.

How the hell is one meant to do solo?

You can rehack the plate machine until you get a path that is manageable. It is literally posible to get a completely straight path to the diamond.

Err... Are you following the correct path across the tiles? Or are you saying an update broke the tile maze puzzle?

Yeah, that one requires 1 guard killed, so you had more space to concentrate and a faster lockpick, otherwise You're going to have a bad time.

A straight line pattern is possible, keep doing the wires until you get an easy one. Then, sprint across, get the diamond and run back. Simple.

Play it offline and pause the game at the box, write down the path and unpause.

Yeah, that one requires 1 guard killed, so you had more space to concentrate and a faster lockpick, otherwise You're going to have a bad time.

Guards aren't the problem guys, i got everything out of the way, i can loot everything easily, get all the guards out of my way, my problem is the puzzle at the end.

I get an easy one, i run across quick, get the diamond and run back, but every single time there's 1 plate that resets and screws me over.
It's quite annoying.

What are you talking about? Buy the side window upgrade before mission thenIf you ignore everything else go straight for the boxes killing civs abd key gaurds along the way and getting the camera man you should have the dimond at right around the 8 minute mark but if your lucky with fuse placement way lower. Then you throw it out the window and sprint to the exit. With the key gaurds killed it shouldent even take a minute.

In fact the only thing that I had problems with was gaurd placement the tiles and the dimond was the easiet part of the game. In all it took me about 5 tires when I really sat down to do it but its very posible. I even did it full stealth at the same time.

No, OP is saying a tile pops back up in the puzzle, they're not going for the achievement. And I have never had a tile pop back up but haven't played Diamond Heist since the latest update. Hell of a bug if that is now the case because jumping over a tile counts as stepping on it no matter what.

Is this a Deathwish thing where the path resets itself?

I've heard people say that you can't take the same path backwards as you crossed it with. But for whatever reason this seems to only be true for offline. I can easily do a crisscross path on overkill while online and solo. But every single time I've ever tried the heist solo offline, when I cross and get the diamond, as soon as I step on the first plate back the alarm sounds.
