How to obtain drills

I know people are selling them on the steam market, but where are they getting them from? Card drops? Rewards in-game? Buying them from official overkill store? Thanks

By paying real money for them.

You can only get them by paying IRL money ($2.50 each IIRC), which is terrible considering they actually give stat boosts.

Once you aquire a safe as an ingame drop or purchase one from the marketplace you get the option to buy a drill for 2.50$ or equivalent in € etc. ingame. Otherwise you can just buy both the safe and the key from other players.

If you get a safe you might as well sell it unless you plan to fork out cash to buy drills. Drills should have card drops in game forcing to buy them isn't a smart move. OVK is waaaay late to the weapon trading market should have brought this out during the first year not the fourth.

When you have a safe in your inventory ingame, you can purchase a drill to open it ingame. Which you should always do if you want to buy drills, because there's litterally no reason to buy them on the market where the price is going to be higher.

Here's how the process works when not buying from other players in case someone is confused:

Once you have aquired a safe start the game up, go to Steam Inventory (ingame) > Double click on the safe > Go To Marketplace > You are then moved to a checkout window to buy a single key for 2.50$ or the equivalent in your country's currency (2.19€ for me)

Funny thing is they made the option available to increase weapon model quality shown for other players. Guess what, i'll keep the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ setting and have increased performance and don't have to bother how much more customized other players weaps look. Nice shot in your own foot there Overkill.
Besides; 2.50$ for a recolored weapon? That's some nice experiment there, tell me how it goes. I'm eager to hear about the 'progression'.

I'm sure they thought having a twist like modified stats would give people an incentive to buy them. Oh how wrong they were...
