PAYDAY 2

PAYDAY 2

View Stats:
How much did Giancarlo Esposito (or Gus Fring if you're a pleb) get paid for Big Bank Trailer.
I'd like to know why we had to have some actor, whose name I had to look up, for an aspect of the game that really doesn't improve the overall experience.

Couldn't that money have been better spent.

Tell me that's not where the money from my DLC is going.

Well, it certainly adds some thematics to it. Plus, there is some evidence he (The Denist) will become a client just like Bain and Hector.

probably around 100-200 G's, and yes they could have spent it on anti-cheat or a staff to weed out the cheaters.

Giancarlo Esposito net worth and salary: Giancarlo Esposito is an Italian-American actor and director with a net worth of $2 million dollars and a salary per episode of $65,000

Edit- so nvm he likely made around 25-50 G's

A. The fact that you were so ignorant you had to look him up says it all.
B. You have no idea what he adds to the game and overall experience... you did 1 job so far.

Exactly. Considering he's going to end up with more contracts than the Elephant, I'd say that his presence in the game is going to be fairly substantial.

I expected more from you of all people. People who think it makes the game more enjoyable are spending too much time in the menus.

Who cares who's giving the jobs out. At the end of the day we're just selecting heists from a list. The last thing on my mind when playing Framing Frame is taking down a dirty senator.

Oh no, people have different opinions on something that's completely subjective. Let's attack them so we can prove that my subjective is objective.

Edit: Personally, I don't care where the money goes. Unlike many people, I understand that I only get what I paid for. This whole idea of being owed more than what you purchased needs to stop.

Yeah, to be honest, I don't really think it has added much to the game. At the end of the day, I care more about the actual heist than the contractor, and I'd certainly rather spend more time playing than gushing over some actor who I honestly didn't know particularly much for anything in the first place.

I have to agree.

I admit it's pretty cool to have "Gus" be a part of Payday 2, but I have to wonder if his undoubtedly substantial fee could've been used to make the actual gameplay better rather than just the game's wrapper.

Right, who the hell is spending time in the menus fanboying over actors? If Esposito wasn't hired to do it, someone else would have been, so at the end of the day wht you're really complaining about is someone other than you having a job.

Okay

Tell me about it, I thought the trailer itself was pretty neat, I was however confused when checking the forums afterward and people talking about this 'Gus' person, since I was pretty certain they didn't mention his name in the trailer. A bit of googling later revealed him to be on some Tv Show I've never seen. Eh... Money could have certainly been spent elsewhere in my opinion instead of providing fan service to a group of people, assuming ofcourse his Fee was up there and pricey..

Surely featuring a well known actor in a promotional trailer would persuade people to purchase the game, thus earning them some profit
Psychic_Flakk Jul 14, 2014 @ 9:27pm
I think it was a great idea. If the game reaches a wider audience due to having a well known actor, is a win situation. I don't care where OK spends their money. Buying their game does not make me a shareholder.

As far as guessing cost goes, I guess you'd need to know the big picture - how much material was actually recorded? AFAIK that information isn't available so there's not even a valid starting point for speculation.
If you haven't watched Breaking Bad and you like TV you're doing it wrong.

There should be some charity for this :)
