Guards getting alerted on open doors...
I don't remember this ever being a problem, but now it seems guards get alerted to changes in their environment. Example, I was doing Big Bank solo and managed to get into the second area without dropping a single guard or civi. As I was opening the vault a guard walked past the time lock door and got alerted. This just happened again, but on day 2 of Big Oil. I opened the server room and hid in the theater, guard walked past and got alerted..literally nothing I can do considering there was a camera there.

I'm not saying that this wouldn't be a cool addition to Payday, but as of now this is not something a player can control nor really workaround. I can't close doors. I can't change the AI path. Heck, I wouldn't be even be able to drop an ECM quick enough as once that camera is alerted you're SOL.

Gaurds have always been alerted to open doors. Acceptions are the vault door on Big Bank and a few others I probably can't think of right now.

They definitely haven't. Case in point, they don't get alerted to the open security room doors on Big Bank, Standard bank and pretty much any other heist. Night club guards don't get alerted on doors you've opened and on Framing Day 3 you can even move the bookshelf. In all of cases the AI path finding just adapts and adds said room to their rotation.

Everything you described has been there for as long as I have been stealthing in this game, so since about November at the latest.
Guards get alerted to the time-locked door being open.
On day two of big oil, the guards get alerted to the server being hacked, but not to the door being open.
It's always worked like this. If they can see an obvious crime happening, like the vault being open or you hacking into something, they get alerted.

no, gaurds are alerted when they see the moved bookcase, if it's the one with the vault. They will also see loot bags/body bags through the bookshelf. I've hid behind the case while it was closed, with a bodybag on the ground. The guard spotted the bag, then ran through the bookcase to get to it, allowing me to kill him. I've lost because I've left the case open, before I put any of the coke in, and has a guard sound the alarm because he "saw suspicious behavior"

Guards always saw the open door in Big Oil Day 2. That wasn't a problem in the past, where you could kill all the guards (or at least the patrolling ones). But as this is not possible anymore and (as already said) doors are not closable, the remaining patrolling guards will always see the open door to the lab or the computer being hacked and will trigger the alarm. There is no chance to avoid this right now, so Big Oil is not completely stealthable anymore (I know that the alarm will ALWAYS sound at the end). You can minimze the effect if you open the lab door as late as possible (search for the clues in the house first, although you don't know if there are any clues outside the lab).

On BigBank the door with the timelock is detectable by one of the two guards patrolling the front. (EDIT pathing from the vault gaurds doesnt lead them to it)

On BigOil, Guards dont detect the open serverdoor. They can spot the hacked server when it's in the front 2nd floor (nxt to kids room). The other two spots arent a problem. Always stay at that room.

Labdoor or the vault on FF3 aren't the triggers. It's the coke or the tied up scientist.

It's normal. You're supposed to take out the guards in the first part of Big Bank, and if no guard comes out of the elevator you are left with two pagers for the vault area, or only one if another guard comes out of the elevator.

Big Oil day 2 can't be stealthed since a loooooong time and that's why there isn't any ghost icon.

Big Oil 2 never could be stealthed as the chopper you use to secure the engine would trigger the alarm no matter what.

Wrong. The Lab door being open and the bookshelve being moved from the vault ARE the triggers. It's quite obvious even (Big Oil the guards call in 'signs of intruders' while staying on the ground floor and not moving in - they don't go down and report 'a tied up civilian'. While Framing Frame, they even report in when there is no coke.)

I observed the same in Big Oil Day 2. If the tied up scientist in the basement is really the reason for the alarm, then I call this a bug (how could the guards see the scientist through the ceiling?). But I think it's the open lab door (as the guards are standig directly in front of it when calling the alram).

It IS the open lab door. The guard even says so (or at least does not say anything about the civilian) as guards have several lines for things to report it. And civilians that are tied up are among those things. But the guard in Big Oil 2 gives out a generic "signs of intruders". Which means "open lab"

Among the other things they report are dead people, bodybags and dominated guards, which also have their own specific lines.
