They definitely haven't. Case in point, they don't get alerted to the open security room doors on Big Bank, Standard bank and pretty much any other heist. Night club guards don't get alerted on doors you've opened and on Framing Day 3 you can even move the bookshelf. In all of cases the AI path finding just adapts and adds said room to their rotation.
Guards get alerted to the time-locked door being open.
On day two of big oil, the guards get alerted to the server being hacked, but not to the door being open.
It's always worked like this. If they can see an obvious crime happening, like the vault being open or you hacking into something, they get alerted.
On BigOil, Guards dont detect the open serverdoor. They can spot the hacked server when it's in the front 2nd floor (nxt to kids room). The other two spots arent a problem. Always stay at that room.
Labdoor or the vault on FF3 aren't the triggers. It's the coke or the tied up scientist.
It's normal. You're supposed to take out the guards in the first part of Big Bank, and if no guard comes out of the elevator you are left with two pagers for the vault area, or only one if another guard comes out of the elevator.
Big Oil day 2 can't be stealthed since a loooooong time and that's why there isn't any ghost icon.
Wrong. The Lab door being open and the bookshelve being moved from the vault ARE the triggers. It's quite obvious even (Big Oil the guards call in 'signs of intruders' while staying on the ground floor and not moving in - they don't go down and report 'a tied up civilian'. While Framing Frame, they even report in when there is no coke.)
I observed the same in Big Oil Day 2. If the tied up scientist in the basement is really the reason for the alarm, then I call this a bug (how could the guards see the scientist through the ceiling?). But I think it's the open lab door (as the guards are standig directly in front of it when calling the alram).
Among the other things they report are dead people, bodybags and dominated guards, which also have their own specific lines.
