And would a mod be able to move it for me? :P - I really think it would be good, not sure about how much work would go into doing it.. But the thing that made me want this is the gazell rail on the CAR-4 is a totally dif color to the rest of it and it makes my OCD go crazy - haha. But honestly, would be nice to be able to do it.
For example, two of the compensators that came with the Gauge courier DLC are silver in color, and in my opinion look really ugly on many weapons, but not so bad on a few.
If many of these more universal parts could let us select from a few skins of different metal colors it would be very welcome, I like my tools to look good as well as function.
pretty much my sentiments also. Don't want crazy wild colours at all
Why? Because the tan colour looks awful.
However, I'm against weapon camos.
But I wanna show off my awesome looking gear to all of my friends without asking all of them to use the exact same mod(s)!
Dunno about you, but it's just not the same if no one else can appreciate my artistic talent without jumping through a few hoops :(
On one hand, sure you could make your weapon look like anything you wanted, any color or pattern or whatever. But on the other hand you lose the origional look of the weapon, and every single version of that wepon you make will have the same new texture applied.
We are talking about something that is more of an addon into the current customization system, which would need to be added by Overkill.
I will, when Overkill implements a way to do so that doesn't necessitate overwriting the original files.
