The ability to customize your weapons more.
Would be great if we were able to edit the mods on our guns more, maybe add decals/change colors etc.

I would say the colors should be fairly subtle, like greys/dark greens etc and black, gloss/matte materials etc, I don't think Bright colours would be so great.

I'd rather no color customization at all than bright colors, but I guess I could get behind some subtle ones.

Well i dont think being able to decal the gun entirely is a good idea. But what if it would run on the same system like the masks? You get a pattern and a colour for guns and bingo! Gun with Decal on it! You should put this in the suggestions forum cause this looks like a decent idea!

^Sounds good

And would a mod be able to move it for me? :P - I really think it would be good, not sure about how much work would go into doing it.. But the thing that made me want this is the gazell rail on the CAR-4 is a totally dif color to the rest of it and it makes my OCD go crazy - haha. But honestly, would be nice to be able to do it.

How about no? Would rather not have this crap infect every single game I play.

No.

I'm not against it but considering the current loot system you may not be able to find a single elemnt of customization :hoxton:

interesting idea in theory. then you introduce jit loading of decals or other things, the possibility of exploits and slowing the server load time down. i think having a mountain of mods and being able to name your weapon is pretty customizable.

I would like, for at least a minimum, to be able to change the base color scheme of the weapon and many of the attachments so they match up better in their basic colors.

For example, two of the compensators that came with the Gauge courier DLC are silver in color, and in my opinion look really ugly on many weapons, but not so bad on a few.

If many of these more universal parts could let us select from a few skins of different metal colors it would be very welcome, I like my tools to look good as well as function.

I would be fine with just the ability to recolour all the tan weapon mods (And vertical forward grips of certain weapons) black, grey or green.

Why? Because the tan colour looks awful.

This. I'm all for changing mod colors to common gun colors.

However, I'm against weapon camos.

But I wanna show off my awesome looking gear to all of my friends without asking all of them to use the exact same mod(s)!

Dunno about you, but it's just not the same if no one else can appreciate my artistic talent without jumping through a few hoops :(

This is not entirely true... a mod wouldn't cover the entirety of this request.

On one hand, sure you could make your weapon look like anything you wanted, any color or pattern or whatever. But on the other hand you lose the origional look of the weapon, and every single version of that wepon you make will have the same new texture applied.

We are talking about something that is more of an addon into the current customization system, which would need to be added by Overkill.

I will, when Overkill implements a way to do so that doesn't necessitate overwriting the original files.
