wtf... suddenly marked as a cheater?!

hey guys- i regulary play pd2 and have spend over 800h alltogether. I just played a match with a friend and during the heist the console was saying that i threw too many grenades. According to a friend who i was playing with i was then suddenly marked as a "cheater".
To clarify this:

I never threw any nade during the whole heist!!!
I never cheated in pd2 and would never ever start doing this ♥♥♥♥.

I'd like to ask around if some of you guys experienced similar problems. I use blt lobby player info- newbies go back to overkill and a few other community game enhancements, but nothing that would be considered cheating. I find this most annoying since i'm a honest player and hate cheaters!

possibly one of your game enhancements or mods is causing the issue. try removing the mods from the payday file and see if the "cheater" goes away.

Had this issue MYSELF last night. Friend of mine joined a Goat Sim heist, but it said it had me marked as using an invalid weapon mod, yet I'd used the same weapons the whole night and it didn't come up ever again when he rejoined. Just a weird bug.

Your friend was using HoxHud. HoxHud is a piece of trash, get rid of it.

The vanilla game's anticheat has little to no false positives, and HoxHud has plenty. Concluding that HoxHud is the issue is a safe bet 99.99% of the time.

well- i just finished another match and the problem didn't show up again, so i guess it was of a temporary nature. weird... why does the console say that i threw a nade when i DID NOT? Something is not right- i guess i wait a bit. maybe this would better be posted under bugfixing subsection forum. pd2 has bugs but i never encountered this before. 2 cans of ingredients taken together in hotline miami- fine. But how come the game recognises me to throw a grenade when i did not? I cannot imaging that this is due to mods like lobby player info, hollywood shootout and other cosmetic enhancements.

btw- i use no weapon mods.. nothing that gives bonuses. Gave up using hoxhud a while ago- use pocohud blt instead- way better imho

What kind of nade did you use? If you used throwables with more then 3 in you inventory or re-usable throwables (Shurikans,Cards,Javelin) the game may think you used too many for a normal throwables (dynamite,Molo,nade)

i use molotovs but as i said before- i didn't throw any of them once in the whole heist...

My idea was that maybe someone mistyped a code or sth and the anti-cheat though you had 10 nades while using shurikans.....

i guess we all agree on payday being far from perfect... but i do not intend to give my hopes up just yet. It can be fun as hell but the stability issues paired with this kind of weird problems are at least very annoying
