failed joining game for my epic games friend as well as for me

when I host a heist using contract broker or even from the map and when my friend tries to join me through code even though the lobby is public he cannot join and an error comes showing "Error failed joining game" same goes for me when he tries to host and i try to join. anyway to fix this issue? Thank you

Epic players are on a different matchmaking key, due to an update on the EGS side of things changing the version, which ended up preventing crossplay on PD2 between EGS and Steam users.

This can only be dealt with by using a mod that restores crossplay functionality.[modworkshop.net]
However the mod should only be used by EGS players, those on Steam are fine for now.

We do not know if it'll be officially working like normal again.

so technically they made their game free but also made it more crashing and unplayable for peoplez. GAWD DAMMIT OVERKILL
