Why is there no Single Player Campaign selection?

I apologise for my ignorance and appreciate the comments to let me know that there indeed is this mode in the game.

i was about to say that, is just there and it give you some rewards for completing the missions

some heists also mentions about some older heists (example: In Boiling Point they mentions about the EMP device from the Murky Station heist and uses it)

There is a Career Mode? I see a Career tab on the menu. I click it and has some tutorial info. Doesn't show a list of all the solo maps in order. Is it in another section in the game? Thanks.

Wait it says my progress is to select some skill points and a perk which I suppose once I do that I can then play a chronological map?

The first couple of missions are a tutorial of sorts, yes. Then you'll move onto the actual story, yes.

EDIT: To be clear, the story is unlocked sequentially, rather than all at once; so rather than showing you all the heists in order immediately, you'll play through them one after the other. There's occasionally a few missions that include Crime Spree and some other gameplay bits; but it'll be mostly the story.
