Underbarrel Grenade Launcher

These cannot work given the limitations of the engine. Weapons do not support custom viewermodels (different hand positions) and weapons can only fire one projectile type at a time. This would require completely rebuilding the weapon engine.

Now that just ain't true.

I wouldn't mind underbarrel grenade launchers. They'd have to have very limited ammo to balance them, but otherwise, it might be cool. It'd be nice if they were only available on some of the less popular weapons to make them more desirable.

Even if was just a static model without animation and replaced the laser sight/torch key to fire it would be fine by me.
Or replaced the secondary weapon slot.
The other alternitive is that it could come with a new weapon and was part of the weapon and not a mod that could be swapped out etc.

Well, that would render existing grenade launchers completely useless since you could have an assault rifle + a GL + a secondary weapon.
For balance reasons, they should have massive malus to accuracy and stability, as well as very few ammo

if by stability, u mean "less stability in such primary weapon" yea sounds fair, and for ammo leave them at 2, 3 sells as much with very very low ammo recovery

Yes, I meant a penalty to the assault rifle's stats, not to the grenade launcher per se

if its not refillable from ammo pick ups and has limited ammo pool, it might be not overpowered.

The draw back could be only 2-3 ammo, a slight drop in accuracy, and a very small pick up rate. By very small, I mean less than half of that of the M95's.

Maybe make them take place as the secondary weapon slot for using it as an underbarrel nade launcher. (>°°)>:teacup:

Every time there is discussions like this, i instantly think of how they coulda done the spas shotgun. in IRL, the spas has 2 firing modes. Standard Semi-Auto, and then a pump action mode to fire special ammo.

Think how cool the spas would be if it worked like that ingame(granted, you couldn't allow HE rounds into the special ammo slot)

I wouldn't mind that for balance reasons, but it wouldn't be very different from just having a secondary grenade launcher at that point. And I imagine having your secondary combine with your primary would be like asking Overkill to climb a mountain.

but add a unique mod, that turns it into a pump action shottie, increasing its damage, i would love it
