Well, techincally he isn't. I mean, I guess you could call it an exploit, but they both were stealthable at least one point in time. I've done both. You are right that they are not designed for stealth, though. And I've never counted the guards on Mallcrashers, might be that OVK added too many for stealth later on.
It's not intended to, but it can be done even on DW by not abusing any bugs.
