Is it possible to not have enough ingredients to cook 7 bags or last MU is bugged third time in a row?

its possible to despawn ingredients by having 2 people add the same ingredient at the same time, the ingredients in my experience always show up though.

It is possible. If one of your crew members picks up ingredients too fast, he might bug one away.
Lets say in the truck are: 2 HCL and 1 CS.
If you spamm "F", you´l get CS and HCL, but if you´re unlucky the second HCL will be buged awawy. So take them slowly.

If you do that, there are always enough for 7 bags - though one MU is kinda hidden in the basement.

But MU is thin and fit in almost every possible sneaky location so you may miss it.

As far as I can recall, you will always get at least 7 batches worth of ingredients. Rarely you will get 8. If you're missing one, it's possible that you're just overlooking it (there's some pretty hidden ones), or that someone mashed the pickup button too fast and accidentally picked up 2. It won't actually give you 2, so it basically just throws one into the void.

Fun fact, that also counts as two ingredients when you put it in. So you can make a batch with 2 caustic soda and 1 HCL, for example. It used to mess up the rest of the heist, though, and Bain would tell you the wrong ingredient from them on. No idea if they fixed that.

Fun fact - Captain didn't appear for straight 20 minutes too :D Bugday 2 strikes again. It's not first time I do this heist and I'm 100% sure that we miss this ingredient. It didn't happen first time -_- And what is more fun - it is again MU. We check all possible spots like at least 6 times, all of us. It is impossible that this spawned properly. Maybe we bugged it or it didn't even spawn on first place, dunno.

I've found that this is the most common reason the chems are not enough. I did it once and the host gave me hell, and rightly so. Take them slowly one at a time. Warn your lobby members about this before the game starts.

Have had that happen to me at least 5 times on Rats.

It is due to desync as far as I can tell.

Can happen with other heists too. But it is more likely with low FPS maps like cook-off/rats day1/GGC and a few others.

Getting 8 bags is not intended, however it is possible to dupe chems, as well as loot bags. Oddly enough the trade on day 2 has programmed to accept and receive up to 8 bags, instead of the intended 7.

Shortly after the release of Hotline Miami, I actually was actually able to find and cook 8 sets of meth on Day 1 and I know we didn't dupe bags or chems. It was just ... buggy...
