Akimbo Heather SMGs and fire modes

I was modding the Heather SMGs and noticed they could have the gage weapon pack fire mode mods. But the strange thing is that the Heather SMGs are locked to automatic fire by default. But if you apply the single fire mod to them, they fire like your regular akimbo pistols.
What's the situation here? Why can't they switch fire mode when on a heist?

probobly to balance.
so you cant just switch between crazy DPS and better accuracy and sustain.

also
i understand why you cant get single shot on LMGs.
but shouldnt that mean you should be able to have the toggle fire mode and dploy bipod as the same keybind since no gun can have both.

they should also add a burst fire mod.

Seems odd though. Why bother letting them use the single fire mode at all?

You have an akimbo SMG. What´s the point to fire them in semiautomatic? (>°°)>

The autofire of the heathers is pretty insane. It's pretty difficult to control and getting shots on target even with bursts is a tricky proposition. If you lock them to single fire you essentially get a more powerful version of the akimbo bernettis, with a 64 round magazine, and a whole heap of ammo. Only slightly less stable but still controllable in singlefire mode.
That's one of the reasons akimbo pistols themselves have a significantly different feel to them. They're essentially single shot (well, 2-shot) weapons that operate with the fire-rate of an automatic whilst being very light and easy to handle.

They probably couldn't figure out a way to make this work. They couldn't figure out how to make Akimbo pistols single-shot either.

i use them with silent killer and the profesional so the stability is better and i can controll them in bursts.
the main reason i fire in bursts is thats all you need to kill a guy and at 1800rpm you can easily waste ammo, especialy considering the pickup is around 7-8 which is low considering the ROF.

with silent killer ans 30% crit chance they are truly devestating, even DW guys can be killed with the shortest of bursts to the head.
