Legacy Edition Code Question

Following the Legacy Edition leaving Steam a new friend of mine just got the game for like $1 and wanted some DLC. I found a Code/Key on another website like G2A or something but just wanted to make sure IF they got the key and redeemed it, would it work if they ALREADY own Payday 2?

Buying it from Steam when you already own Payday 2 would just cut the bundle's price down like $1 but as a Key/Code its the whole thing. Will it work?

Yes, I can confirm that keys for bundles that include the base game work even if you already own it (unless there's an issue with the key itself, of course).

It will work but no money back or leftover keys for allready owned parts.
You should be sure to get keys from trustworthy sites to minimize the risk for scam or wrong key by mistake.
