Payday 2 won't launch

Hi there!

I tried to play Payday 2, but I now have several problems with the game.
Under normal circumstances the game won't launch at all. I am not sure if this is caused by one of the last updates? Because in the past I never had any problems with launching Payday 2.

I also have tried some "fixes" I have found via google... but none of them worked.
I tried to launch the game as administrator, I tried to disable Steam overlay, I tried to delete Steam download cache... but nothing helped.

The only thing that worked is to start Payday 2 with the lauchcode "-steamMM".
But with this I can only play by myself. I can't find any player lobbies and also can't find any lobbies from my friends and I also can't join them.

Does anybody have an idea if there is any workaround?
I am afraid this has to do with one of the last updates and I am not sure if there will be any updates to fix this as Payday 3 will launch quite soon.

Hello, i know the fix, go to your local files where u have the destination of files. U will see payday32.exe something like this, I don’t really remember, just rename the 32 to 64. And right click start as administrator. don’t launch it from steam, launch it from the payday 2 icon in the game files.

If you attempt to run the game's exe file from the game folder, in Admin mode, does it give you an error code?

No, I don‘t get any error messages at all. As far as I have tried up to now, it doesn‘t matter if I try to start Payday out of Steam or via the .exe file in the game folder. The game won‘t launch and I don‘t get any errors messages at all.

I tried it but unfortunately this also doesn't work.
After renaming the .exe file and launching it as administrator I get a steam error message that the original file payday2_win32_release.exe can't be found.
I didn't start it from steam, I tried to start it out of the gamefolder.

I don't know how, but Payday 2 is running now... but it is a little strange xD .
I tried to start Payday in compatibility mode like described in the first link.
It didn't work an I managed to set the settings back to the original settings and somehow Payday 2 started then xD .
