Why Is Payday 3 $40.00? (USD)
Aren't Triple-A games sold for $60? Is there some pre-release discount I'm unaware of?

I mean I like the idea that its cheaper its throwing me off for some reason...

When you see the barrage of DLCs/MTs and god knows what else.....

They probably priced it that down to get more fishes in.

Payday 3 isnt really AAA game and payday the heist and payday 2 were not 60$ on release, plenty of games are cheaper than 60$, heck i'm extremely looking forward for remnant 2 that is 40$, i think you should ask this kind of questions on the payday 3 forums

Didn't even know the PD3 Forums existed yet

Because the game is going to have a monetization scheme even more egregious than pd2. Were talking dlc packs, season passes, microtransactions AND ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ battle passes. ♥♥♥♥ that noise.
Payday isn't a AAA series, they're closer to AA.

This is the answer. They will be doing season passes, in-game currency, DLC, etc. It will be nickle and diming you every step of the way with monetization coating it like grease.

I don't give a damn about PD3, but totally looking forward to Remnant 2. Welp, that's my story, thanks for reading!

First time i see someone complaining that something is CHEAPER.
Each to their own sexual fetishes, i guess.

Thanks for the tip-off on Remnant 2.

It's because you will pay MORE via the nickle and dime route, season passes, MTX, in-game currency, etc. than you ever would have by paying up front. They don't do these things to save you money or get less money from you.

They've also dumped Eric Etebari and done him and the actors dirty by the look of it. Poor Eric was hyping up Payday in his posts right up until they threw him under the bus before release.

They've given the heistsers new looks. Sucks.

People are saying that heists are hidden behind editions.

Nothing indicates that yet. The editions imply you will get access to heist (and tailor/weapon) dlcs as soon as they release without needing to pay.

It's a marketing choice, Payday 2 gamed big on maintaining a high active player base to fuel DLC sales. Payday 3 is using the same strategy.
