then, go to https://steamdb.info/depot/218621/manifests/ and play with dates (pick manifest with date of update you need)
you can also pick manifest IDs from https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1WKMjyTeXBwHxq7UeuS_qys8m-CWIgQucNhckkh7xtm0/edit#gid=0
now, in steam console, type download_depot 218620 218621 <manifest ID>
yeah, steam doesn't have download bar, but give it some time.
now, you got yourself old version of PAYDAY 2 that doesn't use mid Epic games store crossplatform!

After that, go to manifest folder and launch game through exe file. Keep in mind that sometimes steam ♥♥♥♥♥ up download, and there is nothing i or overkill can do about

yeah, but my guide allows to play even on release version, or as i would say versions that are not 81 GB.

I would recommend downloading U23 instead of just reverting to the previous update, for the PEAK payday 2 experience.
