Though, i also dont deny that 8 is really not a whole lot compared to the number Payday 2 had at launch, which was 12. Even though, as of right now, Payday 2 has already a lot heists by now and a lot other content next to heists like lots of masks, weapons and other stuff for sure.
Im sure that at the beginning, Payday 3 "might" will feel like it has not "a lot to offer", and, honestly, i might wait a bit to really get it. I mean i have to wait to ANYWAY because my PC needs a better GPU and CPU first for the recommended settings anyway.
Still, i dont complain about the number buuuut yea, 8 is really not that much for a start but we will see how "good" they are. there is no reason to complain "Y E T".
PD2 launched with 12 heists. Looking back on it, the selection was pretty poor. Sure we have classics like Rats and Framing Frame, but Jewelry Store and Four Stores are super short and easy, plus Ukrainian Job counted as part of that list. The price for that was £25 on launch.
PD3 is therefore in the middle, but also the most expensive base game at £35. If it has 8 PD:TH quality level missions on launch, with high replayability and lots of weapon and cosmetic unlocks, then I won't mind. This game is definitely going for quality over quantity when it comes to heists, I'm really liking what we've seen of the two revealed so far, and they're meant to be the more straightforward missions in the game. And of course, all future heists should be accessible for free so as long as one person you know owns the DLC.
I can already see they will make the same DLC fest.
I think the best case scenario would be to only get the base game now and wait until a sale to get the future dlcs.
Bain had Jewelry Store and Bank Heist.
Vlad had Four Stores, Mallcrashers, Night Club, and Ukrainian Job
Elephant had Big Oil and Framing Frame
Hector had Watchdogs, Fire Starter, and Rats.
That's 11 heist. And that's me being mean but forgiving because Bank Heist has four variations (Cash, Gold, Deposit, Random) that I'm not counting as separate but what is Ukrainian Job but Jewelry Store again and day 3 of Fire Starter is just Bank Heist with extra steps.
Within a few month they did released Diamond Store for free though. There was also Pro Jobs at the time which was just a "no restarting allowed" modifier for extra XP.
Because we all want PAYDAY 3 to thrive, but it has a long way ahead to be as fun as PAYDAY 2 was at launch as well as adding QoL features from PD2.
Um you sure about that? I don't own that game but I would want to some day. I got that game for a friend.
