Question about One down mask

So, I got this mask before the new heists were added, back before the ending of the game was added even. I since haven't played until very recently and I see that I cant rebuy the mask unless I finish the rest of the heists with the OD modifier on.

This is frustrating but understandable, however, does this also mean I need to get the DLC heists to get the achievement to be able to rebuy the mask?

You don't need to buy the DLC heists - you can still play them if someone else hosts, and you'll still get credit towards the achievement/mask as long as you play the heist from briefing screen to heist completion screen.
