So this was a f-ing lie

If you check the event page for 10th anniversary you will see that musket, bayonet, and piggy hammer all have a nice yellow "*" right next to them, marking them all as event exclusive items.

The thing is they weren't there few days ago.

So some of most fun weapons in game, that community had to work for will get removed from them, despite that not being clarified when the event started.

What does Starbreeze have to lose with letting them stay? Are there going to be annual birthday event on timer? Or maybe they'll become Overkill weapons in Payday 3? Or maybe, just maybe it's to bloat the "celebratory battle pass" more so players won't realize that milestones 1 and 3 are just fedoras?

Don't get me wrong, I don't have anything against the game or devs themselves, Payday is still one of most fun games out there, but I do have a problem with something that will get taken away being advertised as award, problem with something that community worked for being removed.

Of course there's a chance that in few days dev team will go:
"Oh look, we will make event exclusive items stay in game, we are so kind"
Maybe even that's their true intention, but even if that's the case, It doesn't change the fact at this moment in time we are right to feel lied to.

As a Dota 2 player, seasonal items have been conditioned on me. You keep some items for weeks, some for a year even, but then they go away.

I learned to focus on the hundreds of things I can keep and not harp too hard on what I can't. It's OK to raise noise but don't settle with pixels. Someday it will all be unobtainable.
