Which bundle to purchase for a new player?

What is the best purchase for a new player? I am not interested in buying specific cosmetic DLCs that I wont use so do I just purchase the Legacy bundle then head to the DLC section and just pick up the heists?

An even better question, since Payday 3 is announced will there be an Ultimate edition that has everything wrapped up for Payday 2 coming soon so I can just wait to buy that or is it unknown whether they will make an Ultimate Bundle with everything ever released for Payday 2?

Not quite, Legacy Collection has all heists up to the White House heist, later than that is the newer stuff & you ain't missing much imho.

Legacy has pretty much all the guns/perk decks/heists that you'll ever want, the newer content can be strong at times but there are better options within the Legacy Collection/non dlc options.

If you get bored of legacy then I suggest modded weapons/maps.

It's unknown at this point. I daresay they'll wait to see how Payday 3 is received before committing to bundling the entirety of the game into one bundle.

legacy collection it has almost every dlc in it

if there is least they could do is break the mould. old customers get a discount? i bought 2 quite early got pissed off with kids etc. didnt play again till now.

Honestly I would just wait until they make a "game of the year" edition and have everything bundled for the cheap price. No reason to pay over 100 for this old game thatll likely die out once pd3 is out.
