Could Frenzy Leech work?
I am completely serious. Is there a build in which Frenzy Leech could survive on higher difficulties?

Leech has 414 health by default. Frenzy drops it to 124.2, but Partners in Crime aced brings it up to 161.46 with a hostage, if I did my math correctly. A heavy shot on DS deals 225 damage, or 168.75 with just Frenzy aced, so you'd need Quick FIx/Underdog aced to survive a heavy shot to your health without the ampule.

Now, some of the advantages of this build would be: 3-shot or more to your heath with the ampule (Frenzy aced gets around the 200 damage = 2 segments issue), and you get that with pseudo-swan song and the ability to take Berzerker for added damage. However, you'd need to take weapons that hit breakpoints with frenzy-level zerk.

Is this build worth it, or is it just a meme?

Edit: I did my math wrong. PiC aced is additive with the health boosts from leech, which means it provides much less health than if it was multiplicative. You only get around 144 health with PIC and Frenzy, meaning you need Frenzy, Quick FIx, and Underdog all aced and all active to survive a heavy health shot.

I tried with akimbo vd-12 and ictv on ds - you always need a big blob of cops or you die ultra fast.
First day of testing (on Mayhem, though I base my builds around DS stats), so I've learned a few things:
  • My first idea was a GL40/SMG combo, but not only is there no synergy between GLs and Berzerker, I ran into a problem where I kill 2 enemies with one shot under the effects of the ampule but also hit myself, so I immediately lose the segment I just gained
  • I took Hostage Taker along with crits, Aced Frenzy, Aced Underdog and Basic Inspire, but that left me with not a whole lot of points to spend. I didn't want to drop any of my survival skills or crits, so had to either leave Low Blow basic and use high concealment shotguns, or ace it and use an AR and 5/7 AP.
  • I found myself playing a lot more passively than I usually do. It might be because I was more fragile, but it also may be because my weapons didn't favor aggressive play.
