The Diesel Engine is one of the worst game engines ever invented!
You probably should have used an already made game engine instead of making this abomination Overkill. Even games running on Unity crash less than on your makeshift engine!

Go ahead.

Well it ain't for nothing, they did make a horrible choice of engine to use, they just can't fix that mistake now unless they want to for no reason remake their entire game.

i honestly have no idea why everyone complains about the game crashing, the only problem i ever had with the game in the "problem with the game" sense is when your lobby bugs out and no one can join your game, and except for once when i overdid the modding it never crashed for me once

The engine has been around since 2001.

A game engine is as good as who ever optimizes it,just sayin'
Let me guess, you made this after saying how 'unrealistic' PD2 is...

An engines age doesn't equate lack of quality, peeps still play source engine games and that was 2004 they still play doom for ♥♥♥♥♥ sake

the engine is bad , they know its bad but its still delivered over 2000 hours of entertainment for me, more than most AAA games might even vaugely near.

ultimately so long as walking dead is on something like unreal 4 or IDT6 they're good to roll.

Walking Dead is going to be on Valhalla. In fact Payday 2 is the 2nd to last game to be on Diesel (The Raid: World War 2 is going to be the last one)

What do you expect from him? He already hates Overkill for not giving him that extra bullet for manual reloading.

Is this whining for the sake of it?

They are using a new engine for new products. You cannot change the engine at this stage, it was the only engine that Overkill had the legal rights to use while being able to afford it at the same time. Pretty much it was making the best of a bad situation.

They weren't able to affort it, they owned it. Similar reason why Valve is only making games on Source, Valve owns Source.

I know, that's what i meant. They couldn't afford to use any newer engine so they used the only thing they had available. An extremely old engine made for racing games many years ago.

Well, they improve a LOT the Diesel engine...even since payday : the heist, we can clearly see the difference .

and this is not the worst engine of all, there are far worst engines in the gaming world.
