URGENT: I found a PAYDAY knockoff on roblox
so there is this game on roblox that is a 1:1 ripoff of PAYDAY 2, this kind of stuff cringes me... https://web.roblox.com/games/21532277/Notoriety its a knockoff of PAYDAY 2... there arent any notable creative liberties either, the game was built to rip off of PAYDAY 2

just take it out or atleast contact the devs, this cringe game has gotten so much attention and it really doesnt desserve it

Edit: Roblox DOES KNOW this is a thing, if you look "payday 2" on the roblox browser it is the first result along some other fangame RP games wich i assume arent an issue

If I remember right, they requested that music and a bunch of art being used for menus be taken out along with other various references to the original game and the developer complied. Those were the only concerns since they were directly taken from the game and being used when the game was also making money.

The game obviously did not impact the performance of Payday 2. No real reason to sue someone over something like this. Would be a big waste of money and time just to get lawyers involved. The game is built from scratch in Roblox studio, it's not stolen assets it's just an inspired product.

Edit: I have no idea how the Roblox search function works. But it coming up when you search "Payday 2" is most likely not done by a human. Probably some unseen tag system or just some other kind of data Roblox themselves have that's fed for getting better search results.
i have been playing RBX for a while and i know that there isnt a secret tag system, im not saying they should sue, im just raising some alarms to it since i didnt know about this, worth mentioning that this thread has devolved into hillarious crap, so im going to keep subscribed just to see the memes...
Using Roblox is not the same thing as knowing how the site is made or what information they specifically gather. There is definitely something made to accurately find stuff searched for. The proof behind it existing is that you can search Payday 2 and get the game to show up. Even if it was for some reason an employee manually sets it, it still exists you can watch it happen.

it's more of an old Payday 2 without having to own Payday 2. only things you have to deal with are crappy AI, old bots system (only 2 spawn with you), disabled children and unbalanced gameplay (its very easy lmao)
