Do you get less exp for drop-in?

Do you get less XP if you drop into a game that has already started, even on day one?

What I mean is lets say its Hoxton Breakout and you drop in when everyone is at the garage waiting to get a parking ticket. Will you get less exp because you werent there when the "Obstacle" objectives (+200) were completed?

I ask because the other day I dropped into Hotline Miami OVK or DW (cant remember) and it was about 4 minutes into day 1. When we ended the day i only go about 200K Exp. It seems kind of low, I remember always getting close to 1 mil, unless I am mistaken?

Yes, you'll get less exp.

Yes and no - you get the full exp. But only for what you participate in terms of objectives that affect EXP.

So for Hotline Miami I should have received full exp then, no? Since the only exp objectives are:

26,000 (completion)
+500 (per HCL added)
+1,000 (per secured bag)

No XP, for killing Russian or blowing up gas station.

Ah so the wiki is wrong, it just says this for exp:

Experience (day 1) 26,000 (completion)
+500 (per HCL added)
+1,000 (per secured bag)

Experience (day 2) 14,000 (completion)
+2.000 (diffused chair C4)
+1,000 (per additional secured bag this day)

And if you go to objectives it says:

Eliminate the russian mobsters
*****Wait for Bain to trace the Commissar's call
Find some gasoline
Set the cars on fire ********
Wait for Bain to trace the Commissar's call
Destroy the gas station
Wait for Bain to trace the Commissar's call
Wait for Bile to drop the present
Search for a basement
Break through the hatch
Defend the pick-up and keep the engine running
Get inside the basement
Search for the correct adress
Escape!

So the ones bolded/* you didnt list, so those you dont get XP for?

So that leads me to my next question, which heist are you LEAST penalized for dropping into? I would think Cook-Off since you get no XP until you secure bags and leave.

I was thinking you get packets of XP for being present every time someone adds in a chemical.

there are different xp triggers for each map on some maps you will get full xp for joining in the end and on some you will barely get anything.
check the bottom of the long guide there are the xp triggers for most of the maps

Yep still says

Hotline Miami:
Day 1: 26000
500 on correct HCl added (can be triggered several times).
1000 on securing bag (can be triggered several times).
Day 2: 14000
1000 on securing bag (can be triggered 10 times). Bags from the first day do not count.
2000 on defusing the C4 on the chair guy.

But Developers say you get XP for blowing up Gas Station, Killing Thugs etc.

Oh well, back to sticking to only dropping into Cook-Off and trying to find lobbies for everything else.

I've copied over the XP values from the long guide for the Wiki. I know Frankelnster simplifies them several times, so I am going to do a pass over them in the future, but the HM update to the current values was already only done today 0_o
