Jiro english voice replacer mod - Thoughts?

I am working on a complete pack replacer for the Yakuza pack that replaces all the items in it with Shadow Warrior themed skins and sounds. This is taking a long time as could be expected from one guy with practically no experience in modding Payday 2. However in the mean time I want some thoughts on a mod that currently just replaces the voice lines of Jiro with English dialogue with an accent of course. I find that I can not understand Jiro and that really breaks the teamplay in a sense. What do you guys think?

I felt super left out when I realised I couldn't speak japanese and his lines mostly jokes... I love jokes ;-;

He speaks in an old Osaka dialect. (Because the VA is 69 years old when he voice him)

I hate Jiro because of the voice lines and while we talking about it:
Could you PLEASE also make a voice-replace mod for jacket...
Because - for me - his recorded bullsh!t is also annoying as hell.

You should never ever come with the "realism" argument on any video game (and a lot of people will probably tell me how dumb I am for just mentioning "realism") but SERIOUSLY:

A dude who is playing voice-recordings from a tape-recorder in the middle of assault rifle combat? Or a dude answering pagers in a completly different language like the guard? Or even a gang talking different languages with each other? ... come on ...

IMHO - If you ask me that simply does not fit in the game!
(not even in the games "own" logic / reality / concept)
For me it totally destroys the whole feeling and atmosphere...

And the WORST thing is that we are "forced" to play with them since there is no way to set a option in my lobby like "all welcome except jiro and jacket"...

Just remember you're talking about a project that involves replacing 1000+ sound clips. And they might not all be replaceable because Overkill decided to encode some of them in .OGG format for no discernable reason.

Agree, some japaneses lines here and there, and english lines when he need to communicate.

these are some good points. i dont have the resources to replace ALL of 1000+ lines of dialogue. but i do like your idea of only replacing communication lines; marking a dozer, calling for help, requesting ammo etc etc

Microsoft Jacket is a thing to break the realism even more and make things hilarious
