Do you happen to have any mods installed?

If not... the sensitivity should work the same as your ADS speed setting

No, I'm problem with Theia Magnified Scope

As far as I'm aware, the game has always worked so that if you aim down a sight with, say, x2 magnification, the game zooms in that much... but doesn't half the sensetivity to compensate. So the zoom is x2 sensetivity too.
One of the reasons I use the reflex sights. Fortunately there's basically no distance you can't just use a reflex sight for with a rifle. I've got comments on having the r95 or thanatos with one though before now. :p

If you want to reduce the aim sensitivity when aiming down sight (especially with sniper rifles), you gotta install this mod http://forums.lastbullet.net/mydownloads.php?action=view_down&did=13925
If you don't want to install BLT, it's supplied with a LUA version.

Nothing to do with mods.

If your mouse is at least a decent one with 3500 dpi, even on the lowest sensitivity the aiming is too fast.

It is IMPOSSIBLE, to pixel aim with that speed, no matter how priper your mouse surface is, making zoom skills sacrifice your ability to aim properly.

This ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ existed in PDTH.

Higher zooms don't decrease your mouse sensitivity at all. In other words, the normal scopes, heavy scopes, and especially Theia will make aiming almost impossible (This is also why skills that boost zoom while aiming are actually, seriously the worst thing ever. I tried a +25% zoom boost in the skill tree beta and it completely threw my aim off with a weapon I've spent hundreds of hours using). The only two ways to fix this would be to decrease aim sensitvity while aiming in the settings, although this will mess up ALL OTHER GUNS while aiming, or to download a mod to fix it.

Or be me and just slap iron sights on any sniper that accepts them, since the Theia magnified scope makes it harder to aim at longer ranges thanks to the smallest touch of the mouse moving my aim by 8ish pixels.

Basically, this has been around for many, many years. Overkill won't fix it, because it's an issue with magnification. The only thing you can do is download a mod or use iron sights. Sorry.

I find the skill that adds zoom screws with my reflex shooting so I do not bother with it, saves me points for other things anyway. Try ditching this skill if you are using it and being that this game isnt a long range sort of game maybe ditch the Theia scope as well.

Wait a sec what a good idea for a mod

Are you thinking of a mod that lowers your scoped sensitivity based on the magnification? Because I believe someone already did that.
StoleMyCoconut May 2, 2016 @ 4:37am
I was thinking of removing the zoom for scopes actually 0.o
Strider May 2, 2016 @ 3:24pm
I'm fine with how the Theia scope has this sensitivity problem since I hardly use it and it's a gimmicky attachment anyway but the fact that the repeater's scope also suffers from the same problem is ridiculous.

there is a setting called "scoped sensitivity"
i have it set to somewhere between 1/5 and 1/10 of my normal sensitivity like i do with all games.
i do this with all games that have the option.
you want high sensitivity for hip fire so you can turn around easily but you want low sensitivity for scoped so you can micro manage.

i disslike games with no seperate "scoped sensitivity" option becuse you struggle to aim over range unless you have mega low hip sensitivity which makes them near unplayable.

The problem with that, though, is that it doesn't scale well between different scopes. If you have the Theia on your sniper rifle, for example, and a 1x sight on your secondary, your secondary is still going to seem much slower than the primary. Most games reduce sensitivity based on magnification. PAYDAY does not.

battlefield hardline didnt have a seperate scoped sensitivity option for the first several weeks it was out.
i protested in the replys to every bit of news they posted.
after about 2 weeks they added seperate sensitivity options for each type of scope :)

it just goes to show that if you want something done all you have to do is be persistant, but not the kind of toxic slurry the PD2 comunity puts in the comments.
im talking about a properly supported paragraph worth of argument.
