Best/favorite shotgun-ammo combinations
Pretty sure a thread about this has already been made, but I can't find it in the 100 most recent threads so I'll just shamelessly start a new one. What shotgun-ammo combos do you have the most fun with, or find the most effective? Don't turn this into a "Loco is best shotgun" argument.

M1014 w/ long barrel and HE rounds. Great for stunning crowds, stoppin tasers, droppin shields, and smashing dozers. Doesn't really kill much but makes you a good team player. Also fun as hell to ragdoll everything in sight.

Raven w/ long barrel and HE rounds. Does the same as M1014 but kills more often. You can pick off snipers too, M1014's too weak for that. Bit of an ammo issue, but a good secondary (Loco >.>) makes up for that.

Loco w/ 000. You can one-hit green SWAT with a body shot. Wrecks anything it wrecked quickly before even faster now. Ammo not an issue unless you're not picking it up off your fresh kills.

Loco / flechette .. try it with enforcer / tech build. Get 50 cal for dozers and shields.. You fight like an immortal

Funny, HE M1014 with long barrel, king's crown (for 10 rounds, 18 accuracy at 63 damage) kills snipers from the house on Rats D1 just fine. Shields in 3-4 direct hits from the warehouse heli-pickup to the fence/road in Watchdogs D2.

If you want an alternative to the HE M1014, use the HE Izma with Sniper Stock, King's Crown and the rest of the mods (no firing mode mods) gets 7 rounds, 16 accuracy with 63 damage. Gets the advantages of magazine/tactical reloads. I just don't like putting this in semi-auto because of the weird recoil.

Also, I don't like putting ammo mods on my locos. Maybe for a stealth-only loco. But for combat, the ammo economy is what makes a loco, so that's why I like keeping buckshot.

Street Sweeper with HE rounds and IZHMA with Buckshot, Mag Plus, and Bullet Storm. SS with HE is great on Deathwish and the IZHMA is an all around shotgun for every difficulty type. Why would I want a Locomotive which I have to ♥♥♥♥ everytime I fire when I can lay down a constant string of pellets with two semi/fully automatic shotguns.

Judge with Flachette.

Loco with stock ammo. Special ammo penalty AND fully loaded not working on it is too much of a pain in the ass.

Raven AP (with deagle) (Edit, it make a lot firepower in 23 vis, best stealth/loud combo for me)
AK. 762, Streetsweeper HE and Baseballbat (just for fun)
Judge with Flechette ammo (Most DMg silent)
Loco with regular ammo.

These are my preferences

Street sweeper with HE wrecks dozers visors. And stuns him, what else do you need?

None.
Pure Judge or Pure loco.
Because special ammo just wastes ammo for no good reason, lowers total ammo count, and really doesn't have enough bang for it's buck.

M1014 with HE, crushes dozers and stuns everything else. I also love the Street Sweeper with the extra clip size mods and Tech tree clip increase. Couple that with HE rounds and you can turn any small room into a bounce house.

Reinfield & HE, M1014 & buckshot, Locomotive & Fletchette.
I've yet to find a weapon that works well with slugs, though..
Nothing. Aug 19, 2014 @ 9:27am
The judge with flechette is probably the most insane thing I've used. You need to be very precise to use it correctly, but man, the range you can kill things is insane.
