Size and weight of the goldbar loot

Everytime i see the stack of goldabars to loot, I have doubt those bags i have would last the weight, not to mention I could carry thar amount of gold in a timly fashon.

Does anyone know what size are those bars are?
Gold is way more havy then it would feel in the game I guess.

Gold is substantially heavier than it looks, yes.
It's probably for the sake of sanity. It's a lot more satisfying to say 'I am carrying 12 gold bars and its worth a lot' than 'I am carrying 3 gold bars and its really freakin heavy oh god my arms'

Assuming the bars are the standard gold bar they weigh in at 400 troy-ounce (12.4 kilo) each.
So a bag must hold 99.6 kilo of gold.

The standard bar would be Good Delivery bar
Dimensions :
Length between 290 mm and 210 mm
Width between 85 mm and 55 mm
Height between 25 mm and 45 mm

Considering the price of gold nowdays, 8 bars or almost 100kg of gold is worth several millions.. the rewards don't really represent it.

It'd be interesting if the gold bags slowed you down considerably more but offered even higher rewards.. I mean.. it is a 100kg bag <.<

Both payout and weight do fit, because it's not really gold you steal. It is gold paper, wrapped around really huge bars of fine chocolate.

I guess the reward is not as same as the street price. Im not in the RL profession of a ganster but my thoughts if you want to sell more then the avrege of a gold coin on the black market the price decreses. After all the gold is hot stolen good. So you probaly wont get the regular banking price..
I cant imagen that Brain walks into the fresh robbed Big Bank and offers them to deposit or exchange a bag of 100kg gold....

50K dollars of gold only weighs roughly, 2.5 pounds. That weight is not enough to cause the slow-down effect you get when carrying it.

50,000 divided by (about) 1,200 an ounce is 41.something ounces. 41 ounces divided by 16 ounces per pound comes to 2.6 lbs.

Never mind carrying it, how much use is that server going to be after the amount of tossing around that all loot goes through in this game?

A 100 kg bag sure isn't easy to lift and walk around with, but it's absolutely doable IRL. Your legs are stronger than you'd think.
