"Let the crew handle it"
Does picking this option just ignore the safe house raid? That would make sense if people don't really want to do the raid, but I was just wondering if there was anything else to it.

Apperently if you ignore the event it delays it by a day or something.

It basically cancels the raid so you can go in the safe house normally.

it delays the raid for half a day until it happens again
beating the raid normally gives you 3 days before the next

Apparently, the crew doesn't handle it too well.

Alright that seems fair. If you don't want to play it at all, you can easily just let the crew handle it each time. If you want to play it but not right this second, the wait isn't as long as if you actually played it. I like that.

Have you seen some of the stuff the AI does? There's no telling what they would do if there weren't any actually players in the game.

I heard a rumor about bots intentionnally screwing us. It seems that in the absence of actual players, they start wrecking havoc leaving only death and ruins in their trails.

Not too mention the payout that you would have got if you participated
I chose 'let the crew handle it' on the third day, when I got my first raid, and I haven't had one since

It's more of a "Stop annoying me with this/I want to just visit my safehouse" button as you can also delay it by ignoring it entirely. The downsides are
Bain tells you every time you open CrimeNet you need to defend the safehouse
You can't go to the safehouse
You can't visit the safehouse

If none of that bothers you, you can just ignore that the ignore option exists when you don't want to play the raid right away.

Which is why I normally just "let the crew handle it"

Honestly, the safehouse raid feature is pretty annoying. I get that it's a time-delayed event, but I don't want to hear about it, and I don't want to be bothered by it when I'm just wanting to dump some safehouse coins.

The raid itself is fun for the most part. It's just really annoying for the reasons you stated.
