The general consensus is that it should be lowered instead. Otherwise ALL the trophies might as well count previous progress.
Yea, no one would even be able to get it till AT LEAST the beginning of may next year...
i have almost 500 hours and im almost 1/10 of the way in kills total (including before the event). so 5000 hours into months works out at around 6.8 months of NON STOP gameplay.
this is of course your playing normally and not farming kills. it may be a bit faster then but dont expect anyone short of hackers to have that trophy by spring next year.
But i guess if they implemented safehouse customization sooner, you would already have it by now.
If they added it to count previous kills then some will already have it making it wasted content that they could pursue. It's supposed to be NEW content, not old. You guys are also forgetting these trophies are accounting for all of the new gameplay changes/difficulties.. Makes no sense to count previous kills due to these changes. OVK wants you to earn them with the new changes.
Just because they tied the kill count number to a reference doesn't make earning the Trophy anymore meaningless as if they used a generic number... Easter eggs are just that, little references for you to get a kick out of.
You really underestimate how much people actually play this game. 600,000+ kills is not THAT much when you can knock out a good 10,000 in one day easilly. Since there is an incentive people will strive for it. You can't base your own personal habbits/experience due to the changes, and not to mention stealth missions reduce your kill count significantly. If you were to spam OVK difficulty on big missions with no downtime then you could probably get it within a month.
It wasnt just me that estimated around 5000 hours though, ive seen that number tossed around the fourms as an estimate for how long it could take.
That sounds about right for players not going for the trophy, but for people who grind for it will have it within a month or two.
Reference - I played WoW for years (3000-4000 hours) and have well over 2million honor kills (pvp). That's not even including the fact I didn't pvp 24/7. I know this isn't a good comparison but I highly doubt payday 2 could take longer then that, not to mention this is against real players and not AI.
As previously stated, it's not meant to be easy to get. It's an extra incentive to prolong gameplay, nothing more, nothing less. Also, it's not as hard to get as you guys might think.
Experiment - Play actively for a month or two with the new changes and come back here to show your progress. If you need help with the grind, add me to steam ;).
Two people already have it.
After working out the settings, we got a decent high spawnrate of cops with small lag. GL and patience is needed
