Agreed. Just because the original Linchpin deserved to be removed doesn't mean that we should never get a vest-type outfit ever again (it's not like the creator had a patent on vests or anything).
Because Overkill didn't want to be associated with someone with the types of credible allegations against them that the original designer had. Just like why (as I've said several times in this thread already) I'm okay with Overkill distancing themselves from Ethan over his recent actions.
"yes"
I'm not twisting the words here, I'm the one getting his words twisted. Just because I took issue with Twodots claiming that a fictional character is the same as the real person doesn't mean that I'm okay with what Ethan has said, or that I have any objection to Overkill stepping away from this collaboration. Somehow that's gotten misconstrued as me trying to defend him, despite me repeatedly saying that I'm not trying to.
Yes. Your point?
Advocating for bombing an office full of people is not okay, period. How in the world are you even spinning wheels about that?
I'm not. I never have been. All I said to you was that in-game Ethan is not literally the same person as real-life Ethan (as you claimed), and somehow we ended up here.
I have been. Frankly, I'm baffled how we ended up here.
Now, as I've said before, I'm willing to drop this. So let's.
Nobody claims that virtual Ethan is going to bomb a building, this isn't Who Framed Roger Rabbit (1988).
