Have people forgotten the meaning of DLC and a update

I mean I guess they did after what happened yesterday.
Or they pulled the definition right out of wikipedia which I mind you the definition of DLC on wikipedia is wrong.Wikipedia calls everything that adds any new content a DLC,but there is a rule of what is a DLC and what isn't
Upcorse the guy who semi agreed with me said to call DLC a paid update as it doesn't matter ,but it does and I will tell you why.

DLC means downloadable content and in it's name you can already get it's definition because of download - ABLE.
What does ABLE mean when it's next to a verb?
Well let's use this example:

This object is editABLE.
What did I just say? I said this object in question can be eaten.
DownloadABLE. The object in question can be downloaded.

ABLE in a verb means that the object in question can perform that action ,but it's up to the user to do it.

Downloadable content thanks to the definition of able next to a verb means the user can download the content in question.

What is an update?
Unlike DLC which is optional an update is forced. Every client needs to download the said update otherwise they would be using a outdated version of said program. Sure it can be manually downloaded ,but again it's forced. The program will not stop asking you to download the said update. DLC doesn't force you to pay for it
There is no correct definition of an update. If an update adds new content it's still an update because it's forced.

Why do some multiplayer games update if there is a new DLC?
Well dummy couldn't you tell it yourself? A client that doesn't have the said DLC must be able to see the contents of the said DLC(not all of it upcorse),but when it comes to using the said content they need to buy the said DLC.

There is free DLC which falls under the definition of an expansion pack.Ain't going to explain what's that.
Now imagine a paid update.

It would be a update that you need to pay ,but you are also forced to pay it.

Are we clear now? To people who called a update a DLC just don't use wikipedia for it's definition because DLC has a definition in it's name.

If you are going to call a update that adds new content a DLC then you are using the definition of DLC and update very wrongly.

People did forget what DLC and an update even means. Just using it like that proves a lot.

I actually said why when there is a DLC the game updates. That only happens when a game has multiplayer in it where if that didn't happen people would see invisible weapons.
In case of singleplayer there is no need for the update.
