Overkill is wasting very valuable resources at this point. It would be too late by the time they realize what they are doing is just flat out ridiculous.
On top of that, I remember it not even being Overkill who developed it. Though I can be wrong.
If Overkill had more than just PD2 to fall back on, then they could have been done with the game back in 2016, OTWD would have come out on-time rather than three years later, and they could take the leap towards better technology earlier. Having a diverse portfolio of games as a company costs plenty of resources up-front, but it gives you a cushion to fall back on when things go south. That's how Nintendo's stayed in the business for so long, they've got plenty of games in stores simultaneously, and weaker entries or bad fiscal years are picked up by highly popular entries like mainline Mario, Zelda, Smash Brothers, etc.
Crimefest is a community event Overkill is well known for hosting.
In 2014, OVK had less employees to work with than they do now.
Experience(from another videogame community) taught me that sometimes it’s better to not make certain requests like that come true.
It still has that PAYDAY brand name on it that OVERKILL is well known for. OVERKILL may not be developing that app(I'm pretty sure they are because I just checked the official website). However, they just promoted it through the Steam announcements. Wasting resources may not be a problem now but, it can become a big problem much later.
Have you forgotten that OVK extended Payday 2's support for about a year?
Be grateful for once
Uh....you know that players are allowed to criticize what a company is doing right?
Plus, PAYDAY 2’s year extension is mainly for Overkill to use the revenue from PAYDAY 2 to fund other projects Overkill is working on.
I’ve played this game for a bit when Icebreaker started and the game does have a tendency to crash, optimization issues, and coding errors that can cause unintentional side effects. Especially when you look at the front page of the bug reporting forums where players are having a problem with their game starting up.
So, am i not allowed to bring some points to counter OP's argument? is this not a discussion then?
So what if the extension is to gain revenue? Don't they still add content and brings some bug fixes for the game?
